Hey long time no see. Haven't heard of Herpes, what kind of stuff do they play? Sounds like a fun year for sure, enjoy Revenge, I caught them in Sept. Awesome although they were sort of overshadowed by Blasphemy!

Lately I'm really into newer stuff from Eisenwinter (Swiss) and Totale Vernichtung (Austrian). Eisenwinter has a pretty raw sound and excellent funny lyrics (in German though). Both have super catchy riffage and are unique artists one would tend to either love or hate. At times they (and their excellent non-NS collab project, Rostorchester) sound like pop punk or 60s love songs meets NSBM haha. But my favourite artists are all unique; the problem is, there are so many solid metal bands out there, but so few with any real personality that makes them memorable... I will take personality over talent any day, but some mixture of the two is best.

Nice coincidence, I just downloaded Consummation's demo not 2 hours before you recommended them. I will certainly check that out today. Not sure I am great with recs but I'll see if I can think of something. What type of stuff are you most interested in?

Yeah, same. Why put a label on yourself anyway when it only limits your perspectives. That's why I don't consider myself a metalhead either, I'm just...me and I listen to whatever I like. At least that way I can enjoy really good music without anyone telling me how I'm such a poser etc just because I like both Marduk and lets say Paramore. It could be any other unusual combination.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing to wear bands merch and stuff but it feels weird when bunch of kids are walking around all dressed up because omg look that looks fucking badass. In my eyes that's not metal at all, that's posing. Then, they're also the ones who feel like they can judge what's real black metal and what is not based on some lame assumptions, like - the way you wear your hair is not BM etc etc. When I see these things I just want to get away as far as I can.

Yes, I did actually. That and people who seemed to get into the music for its style in the first place, usually they're also the people who listen to lets say 5 songs of a band and then claim themselves as big fans etc.

Hahaha, no but I suppose they fit under this statement as well. Basically anyone who is wearing shirts and stuff with some obscure symbols and writings on them just because it looks cool and make them look like hardcore motherf*ckers...well, in their own eyes only. Once I started seeing it spreading around as a style and not love for the music, I felt sort of apart.
