Dabbling is a good thing. I will say using last.fm has gotten me in the habit of exploring music outside my usual comfort zone...have to reign things back in now and then if the music starts getting to far out there lol.

I'm back in Vegas. Just graduated from college last Saturday. :D Can't wait to live life without homework. I just can't seem to get into Christmas music. Haha. Hearing it on the radio in the car is about enough for me. And thanks, I like adding pictures that people normally might skip over. You upload quite a few great ones too! Maybe together we can rid this site of crappy pictures. :) Have a Merry Christmas!!!

Haha, yeah it's important to keep a happy medium between the two. I am in love with her new album, a modern masterpiece in my mind. 'Someone Like You' and 'Turning Tables' are my favorites. Have you seen/heard her BRIT performance of 'Someone Like You'? It's amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qemWRToNYJY

Overall, I think that 'Orphans, Kingdoms' is my favorite, like the drums, the voice and the lyrics. Its just all so powerful. Coachella is a music festival that happens in Indio, California every year in April. I've only gone 2007 and 2009, and when I went in 2009, I went mostly to see Lykke Li and Fleet Foxes, and in an interview about her new album, Brooke said that Coachella, and especially Fleet Foxes' performance is what inspired the direction of her sound on 'Flags'. For me, 'Albertine' is almost a masterpiece, but 'Flags' has a lot of potential, and I'm definitely liking it the more I listen to it. Its as if her art direction mirrors my own change in taste in music, which is freakin' fantastic. :D Merry Christmas duuuude!

Yes, one of the first things that I did once I got back home was head straight to iTunes and download Flags. I really like the album, I'm so glad that she's shifting even more into folk-pop like Joy Williams has been doing. I guess she was really inspired by the 2009 Coachella, and I was totally there, and I guess we both saw Fleet Foxes, which floors me to think that I was probably a spit's distance away from her and didn't even know it. The only two songs that I don't LOVE are 'Ice On Her Lashes' and 'Here's To You'. Though, in time they may grown on me. Her song with Aqualung is stellar, and so are 'Betty' and 'Crows & Locusts'. They're effin' epic in my opinion. How about you, how do you feel about the album?

Hi! I saw in your profile that you like “A Fine Frenzy”…Did you know that they have a unreleased song called “Ride Goldrush”? This song has used in a movie called” Powder Blue”, but it wasn’t released on the official soundtrack, nor in the 2nd album by A Fine Frenzy (“Bomb in a Birdcage”). This is a beautiful song and there is a petition asking A Fine Frenzy to release the song. If you like this song please sign the petition here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/ridegoldrushafinefrenzy/ If you want you can hear the movie version here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRfEB9YSGm8 Thanks for reading and have a nice day:)
