A great live vid by Polish KAT–one of the first black metal bands both globally seen and in Poland: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YO1QtyayWGk Raw, primitive, hymnic and quite great ;) ... At that time, doing such music, was actually quite dangerous, because first of all, Poland was a Communist dictatorship, and second, people 99 % of its ithabitants were Catholic/Christian, and mostly quite religious. So, it was a real risk for that band.

Well, black metal is black metal for me–I don't really see there different genres. If a black metal band is good in my opinion, then I like it ;) . No matter if it's (old) Cradle Of Filth, Burzum, Kat, Unanimated, Al Namrood, Mgla, Batushka or Abigor, no matter if it's commercial or underground. I simply don't care about how self-acclaimed journalists or music mags describe it, I don't give a shit about trends and "trueness", and also, I don't care what the bands are bullshiting around in interviews or in their lyrics ;) . I simply have to like it, that's the only condition. At present, I tend to like a lot Batushka, Mgla, (old) Kat (Poland), Skogen, Al Namrood and Vanhelga. And you?
