i like bloc party too, but in another account on last.fm i had over 1000 plays of them (times i was really addicted :P) and i didn't get to bring all those plays to this account here. but i do like them :) ever saw them live? i see you're going to see bombay bicycle club and there comes this hate for living in brazil sometimes haha

nah, there wasn't much of a conversation, we just got a photo and I didn't want to turn all fan-girly. of course I wish there was, but my friend and I were just so caught in the moment. next time (if) my mind will be more calm and I won't be nervous second time round! I'm not used to meeting musical geniuses. was just in utter shock to be frank haha, mind went BLANK. although I did just get a tweet off them from twitter, and they said "they loved it" about meeting us, so I am happy :)

Ah, yes, I was the same with Radiohead! :) and Pedestal is a favourite! I'm so jealous you saw them back in those days, I was too young for my parents to allow me to go to gigs on my own, and at the time none of my friends listened to them or were put off my the random band name :( I'm so happy, this is random, but I met Jack and Ed casually walking through London yesterday! just a bit coincidental and unbelievable?

Haha, that's the way to go about it! No really, it always works for me. I braced myself for this new album since I wasn't much into Flaws (though I see it as a side project), so it wasn't too hard to get into after a couple of listens. I always find though, that if you don't force it, and you naturally come to eventually find that element in a song or album that captivates you in some way, it's a much more rewarding finding thank anything else. Most of the bands I used to dislike are now dominant favourites from this process, haha! I guess it reinforces the appreciation.

So, how are you finding the album? haha. I have to say, "Take The Right One" isn't doing anything for me!

I like only two tracks on their new album, "how can swallow so much sleep" and "What You Want". Other stuff sounds boring and insipid :[

Yeah, I like some hip-hop but much prefer the more rock/indie end of the spectrum :D Really?! I think it's great :3 but I'm a little biased because they are literally my favourite band ever. If you like their third album, I am pretty sure you'll like the new one. Worth a listen any ho :)

No problem, and yes I've got a quite a few albums to recommend! Electric Wire Hustle - Electric Wire Hustle is amazing, and may very well be my favorite album of 2010 so far. I'm also thoroughly enjoying the new albums from Big Boi, Erykah Badu, Gil Scott-Heron, The Roots, Flying Lotus, Gonjasufi, Homeboy Sandman, and Andreya Triana. Those are probably my top ten of the year. The new albums from Bonobo, Moe Pope, and a few of the Madlib releases are also really great.
