Hi there Stevieo, so you coming over for holidays or extended stay? Be great to catch up with you. Shame about timing as so many beautiful walkways and other things along the River washed away. No need for a mop haha. I think they'll have it cleaned up by then - massive Army of people have been helping out, but infrastructure won't be rebuilt in time for your visit, although did bump into the PM at one of the sights, so I should have put in a good word for you. I'm sure if she knew you were coming, she would have jumped on it a lot quicker lol. Hope you guys have been well, Mel PS: messed up the first shout, so deleted & fixed it.

Think I have heard of one band you mentioned. I am tempted to maybe get across to the east coast next year, been saying that for ages now though, If you have the time money and inclination you should come over for the West Coast as well, sometimes get a few different acts.

Hey hows it going! Yeah heard the new album, much more commercial and polished in sound. Missed out on seeing them at Blues and Roots back in March, watched Matisyahu and Jeff Beck instead. But yeah its pretty good. Nicky Bomba the drummer is supposed to have a solo project coming out soon, will keep you posted. Have you heard the new Xavier Rudd? much more up beat and happier than the last one :) thank god! Out of interest you wouldn't be going to Glastonbury by any chance?

Hi! Yes, I first got introduced to JBT in 2005 at Wakarusa. Seen them a few times in between. But Im very excited about seeing him with the new line up. Its definitley some of my favorite music. So earthy and pure. Love it!! Really enjoy Xavier Rudd as well.

I agree, however it would almost be unrealistic to expect the quality of his earlier stuff. The first couple listens didn't blow me away, although no question the album has grown on me and i enjoy it immensely. i hope you had a blast at the show, they put on one of the best live performances!

25,000 people - wow I couldn't handle that !! Re our festival, I feel more sorry for the organisers & the Artists that packed up and went home without even playing due to no venues large enough for them. The organisers were getting abused by people because they couldn't get in to see bands, but how can they predict the weather? Really unfair.

No it wasn't the one at Byron. It was Blues on Broadbeach but unfortunately due to very bad weather it was cancelled. They set up some bands in small indoor venues, but we couldn't get in as there were too many people. The venues were a lot smaller than the huge park that they use. Oh well, next year !!
