Hello, noticed we both amazing music taste and was wandering if you could do something for me? I play bass in a band that you may like and we're looking to try get more known as we want to start gigging shortly. We have a few rough demos on YouTube and it would mean a hell of a lot if you could check them out for us. There's a link on the channel in the description to our facebook page too and if you could give us a quick like it would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advanced! :) http://www.youtube.com/blooddiamondharvest

Doing great man. I think they're a severely underrated band, found them because they toured with 311 extensively in the late 90s-early 00's. I love those records and actually think they're even better than 311. Great riffs, catchy hooks, clever lyrics, some awesome odd-ball parts and rhythms but always tremendous grooves/melodies. 1 listen through Pushing the Salmanilla Envelope and I knew they were something special. Jimmie's a really great guy too, always lets me hang-out and is super friendly when I see them play.

Totally forgot to respond to your last comment man. My bad, you're completely accurate in what you're saying... I mean my top artists really are what I care the most about, so for what relaxes me.... 311 chills me out but they're really good players who rip it up. (I see u dig Offspring who they tour with and I've always liked but I think 311's on a deeper level of sophistication... Transistor blew my mind and still does. Good one to start with!) Paula Cole is my female that I adore whole heartedly. (Music in Me, I Believe in Love, Mississippi, Tiger and 14 are good starter songs)... I've been on a big "feel" good music kick. I've been the most active craziest audience member at shows for Soilwork, Nothingface, Mudvayne and I love that shit but honestly I don't think much else compares to it as far as metal goes, so you move onto other stuff ya'know. I love Doubledrive, Duncan Sheik and most recently Eagle-Eye Cherry, all so underrated. See what you think of those, man! Cheers!!!

haha I find myself going back to my "old favorites" again too! It's definitely nice to hear new/exciting things or something a bit different to add/expand your taste, Ideally I'm listening to a few albums I already know and then 1-2 new ones!I know you're quite eclectic lol ...but as far as me giving you a recommendation... I was wondering if there was a specific one type of artist you were in pursuit of...(?) to narrow it down that way I could give you one particular artist you may really enjoy?! :) Something heavy, something weird, a solo-artist/singer? What are you trying to find exactly...

lol, I'm actually in the same exact type of predicament... nothing new is really hitting the spot (esp. in the harder rock/metal category) and I've been looking all over man!!! Is there anything in particular stylistically you're in search of? I'm so fastidious with choosing artists. I wish finding great music wasn't always so difficult!

Me too! I can't wait for the two other movies he's going to star in with Nick Frost, along with Seth Rogen too. Should be a hell of a good movie I hope :]. I bought a two disc special edition Hot Fuzz up at FYE, it was worth the $25 bucks XD

Yeah for sure, they're definitely somewhere up there. I've had the pleasure of interacting or getting to know the personalities and relationships of a few bands I really like. They have their difficulties/quirks like anyone else but all-in-all awesome guys who deserve way more success. I hope 2011 is a big year for them and that this new record slams! Neil Fallon's doing vocals on a track from what I hear. Also waiting to get my hands on the Knives Out record soon, I can't wait for them to really put that thing out

Thanks, we just got off the road like 2-3 days ago. I'm still tired and a little beatup. Had a kickass time though, I did merch for the whole tour.

Thanks dude. I think the album's still in the works, they take their time you know. It's not really the kind of music you can write and record in 3 weeks. It takes a lot of time to do all of it but I would think by early next year it'll be out. I'm curious also to hear the Knives Out album so hopefully I'll get to hear that when we're out. Oh and Jimmie's Chicken Shack is phenomenal in my opinion but I think undoubtedly the album to start with is Pushing the Salmanilla Envelope, that one's more all over the place and kind of a better lead-in to Bring Your Own Stereo. Just another creative and awesome band from that Maryland-area like DFD who got no recognition. Stylistically very different but actually Jasan played in a band before DFD with Matt Sipple the drummer on BYOS. All good bands are connected and I'm the guy who pays attention! lol
