I just realized I did nothing basically but ask questions. The only shit thing about the 2nd show was the first time we had a cool crowd and the 2nd time it was people standing there like they were watching Agatha Christie Murder Mysteries, although their sound guy did get pushed offstage and crowdsurfed at one point, Brian threw him to the crowd after he walked by and said fuck you to both of them :D

The Top 20 is nearly flawless with the exception of Person Pitch which I can't stand, I'd also pick The College Dropout over Late Registration but that's nitpicking, I own apparently 18 out of those 20 and love them all, especially happy to see Daft Punk's Discovery up there since when it came out they kinda slagged it off giving it like a 5.8 and I was like "How could they not recognize this is one of the greatest achievements in electronic music?" but they finally acknowledged it. Also glad to see they held firm and didn't cater to pressure to be hip or different and pick a new band for best album of the decade, Kid A truly deserved it and I'm happy it won.

I agree, fantastic list, I actually counted and own... 23 of the 30 albums listed :D I do kinda wish Los Campesinos had made it into the tail end of the list there at least, cause both albums are fantastic, but I can pretty much guess what's coming up but don't mind. I also was really glad to see The Streets make it honestly, was somewhat surprised. Also noticed you're listening to the Japandroids EP stuff, I love No Alliegence to the Queen and Press Corps

Also enjoy Metric and Japandroids, saw Japandroids again this week, will probably talk about it later if most of the chat doesn't get on my balls about it

I feel like Franz Ferdinand also deserved to be in the Top 100, if for nothing else that it's a fantastic album and really played the largest role in that whole sudden indie crossover thing that happened in 04

The Pitchfork Top 200 is off to a surprisingly great start after that Singles one kind of went way too broad near the end, though Silent Alarm should be higher

I always hear "Lolita complex" in that song. Like, We're going down, down, (dobedobedada), a Lolita Complex, cock it and pull it. I know it's "Loaded gun complex" because I googled the lyrics after hearing "Lolita" so many times. But yeah, I still can't unhear it. Vinnie's comment wall: Fall Out Boy Lyrics discussion

"I Must Belong Somewhere" was okay; sort of like "At The Bottom Of Everything" where I don't care much for the tune but it's got good lyrics. I highly enjoy "Coat Check Dream Song"... probably one of my favourites so far. It's sort of dreamy. "The City Has Sex" is alright, I can't put my finger on it but there's something about the song that keeps me from really liking it. Maybe the vocal style? "From A Balance Beam" has an oddly Modest Mouse feel to it to me. O_o I like it though. "Lets Not Shit Ourselves" was great. XD I love the talking in the intro. It was shorter than I expected for a long song. Overall, great suggestions, thanks so much. =) brb, downloading some albums. >.> Where should I start?

"Bowl of Oranges" is a good tune, nice and relaxing. Now that I'm watching it, I know I've seen the music video before for "At The Bottom Of Everything". I don't care too much for the tune of it, but the lyrics and message are great. aaaand I love "The Calendar Hung Itself" it's a lot different than the other Bright Eyes stuff I've heard. Sort of unexpected. "Method Acting" is pretty damn great too. "Hot Knives" is different, once again but more like what I expect from Bright Eyes. I don't like it quite as much as the last two but it's still really good.

I think Climbing Up the Walls and The National Anthem are my favorite Radiohead songs, with maybe Pyramid Song, Paranoid Android, the live versions of Kid A & Planet Telex somewhere after

and I still need more listens to Humbug to know where to place it but it does get better with more listens as there's lots of little nuances to pick up in the music, probably at least on part with FWN for me so far, I love Potion Approaching, Pretty Visitors, and Cornerstone

Ok, so.... the fuckin nuts part was pretty spot on, it was a free show as an afterparty for APW and lots of people had snuck in or printed doubles of their RSVP tickets that were supposed to be limited, so we had the place way over capacity, which would've been great if I wasn't right next to the barrier, cause by the end of the night my arm was pretty much black and blue. That said it was still an amazing show, they pretty much had strobelights from hell, so those with epilepsy should stay away but it sure helped create intensity on stuff like Xxzxcuzx me and Alice Practice. Also Alice pretty much just had non-stop energy jumping around the stage the whole show, breaking the drums open, lots of crowdsurfing and jumping into the crowd singing and dancing, although at one point security did try to retrieve her and was demanding she came back in and she punched the guy in the face after he grabbed her, which the crowd loved but I was like "Ouch, that's a bit much" But all in all good sho

Agreed on Madvillainy, although my favorite rap album is still PE's It Takes a Nation of Millions, but of this decade probably Madvillainy and Stankonia are tops. and yeah, I'm not really sure what I'm in store for, everything I've read about Crystal Castles shows have made them sound fuckin nuts and they always seem to bring cops to shut em down. Also right with ya on Alice, she's kinda hot in a sorta weird 90s heroin addicted raver way :D

Oh, Also totally stoked for tonight, Crystal Castles are doing a free show here after APW (which I bailed on) so like 2:30 in the morning, which I figure is pretty much the perfect time to see them.

Ah, I gotcha, and yeah Stankonia is amazing, one of the best rap albums ever. Also new Arctic Monkeys leaked, definitely a grower, but on my 4th listen now it's sounding fucking amazing.
