Na I was always in Mumbai. Finished graduation and came to NZ in February this year for post-grad. And I'm getting done with this in a month, so yay! Let the real-world problems and dar dar ki thokrein begin. On a serious note though, I'm glad to have finished studying and can't wait to actually work again. I miss the indie scene back home a lot though!

I see, makes perfect sense. He has a new app on Spotify that seems worth checking out. Apparently Nick himself divided his own catalogue into themes from 'Murder & Mayhem' to 'Confessional' to 'Super Dark.'

Yeah, it seems like Harvey's non-involvement is the main source of dissatisfaction for fans concerning the album. I never really got into Cave until about a year ago though, so I never really had the time to get attached to a certain line-up. There were just many great gems of songs waiting for me when I got around to discovering them.

Higgs Bosun Blues is probably my favorite, along with the title track. Water's Edge is so spooky! And awesome. We No Who U R had a similar effect on me. His lyrics and timing seem supernatural and almost tenderly melancholy and I'm helpless with admiration.

No way am I a Dawkins aficionado and neither am I an atheist. I just found that one concept of his pretty charming. In fact, I found many of his arguments against God and religion pretty baseless. The God Delusion has some good insights but it is a mediocre book on the whole.

As much as I try, I don't think I'll ever be able to take their music seriously because of the film. But "Fore!" is actually pretty good, in an 80s pop-rock sort of way.

Indeed. Now I want to watch it all over again. When I first saw it I was just coming out of something I can only call a Requiem for a Dream coma and was all obsessed with Jared Leto, but he was such a tool in American Psycho. It's very good acting but his character is still a douche. But, I mean, as you said, the complete amorality of what seemed to be the entire film's greed society really left no room for me to criticize on a moral level. It is an astonishing film. I've heard though that the director was just trying to drive home some misandrist agenda, but I think there's more to it than that. I think I'll give them a listen as well.
