If you're based in/near London there is always a lot going on - Kings Place have a series of contemporary concerts (http://www.kingsplace.co.uk/music/out-hear) - also the London Sinfonietta (http://www.londonsinfonietta.org.uk/) are well worth following as they are the best in the field and often feature new composers alongside established writers.
