If I can construct at least 2 of these I can evaluate the sufficient amount of samples. 2 hours removes most species but up to 3 days can be required (could be problem) I will spread the samlple thinly to speed up process The invertebrates in the sample travel away from the light due to avoidance beheavoiur from high intensity of light and from the drying conditions. They then fall through the mesh and can be collecteeed in an alcohol solution to kill them..

Teqnuiques for trapping After considering the methods for catching of the inveribrate sample many methods brought up problems. For example the standard pitfall trap proved unefficeint as it requires days to gather the sample. There were also the limitations of the trap to consider, they are vulnerable to predators who would destroy the validity of the sample. It would require regular checking which is impractical.
