Well I heard he needs to be bought out 2mil by his team in Europe to come play, and the max Toronto is allowed to pay towards that is 500,000. So he won't even be playing this upcoming season. At the earliest in the 2012-2013 season. Thats a piss-off. To be honest motivation is the most important factor. Even if we drafted Kanter he wouldn't play hard for a team like TO, so drafting a talented young big man with a lot of potential sounds good, and if he works hard and bulks up as well he would fill in the center spot quite nicely.

Bayless has proven to be a really good starter at that spot, but the problem is he's injury-prone..and I heard some rumors that Walker would be better as a SG in the NBA. Personally I think he's a risky pick if you pick him up as a PG. Toronto really needs some interior D and a proper post-up player on offense, I wouldn't be upset if they picked Kanter.

The choir and shit was way too much, but I don't think it was a bad idea, especially with the 2, 3 balls Mcgee used...I get what you mean though, the essence of dunking is being lost by the inclusion of props, and I do agree with you to an extent. I think creativity is important, but if you cover your otherwise regular dunk with props its just retarded.

Let's be honest though, the competition was a lot tougher this time. Mcgee had some pretty crazy ideas behind his dunks, Ibaka took off from the TRUE FT line but got a shitty score (hate from Dr.J for suuure), and Blake made some pretty nice ones too. He was definitely hyped up to win...and that's why I'm not surprised that he won. I was disappointed by his last dunk, I thought he would at least dunk over the roof of the car. Derozan was the odd one out but I think he showcased himself pretty well.

Yea dude, I think we'll lose tonight at Boston though. I wanna see Reggie get another 20 rebounds hahaha, he's doing a good job for me in my fantasy league. Bayless is a great addition to the team because he's an aggressive perimeter defender, he got caught a few times with pump fakes and fouled the shot but once he's settled down and less excited he'll be less jumpy. Hey may very well be a key to winning down the stretch by preventing those 3's from coming (or at least contesting them). I remember when he was in Portland he shut Kobe down really well (Portland won at home) so he can really defend if he's focused. Peja is just sick man, I don't care if he's old he'll still bring the 3 point shooting for the Raps that are lacking in that department.

IF Bargs could start rebounding I think he would become one of the main pillars of the team. He needs to learn from Dirk and Troy Murphy and copy the way they keep moving and changing up their roles on the court. Causes a lot of confusion on the opposing team, which is definitely a positive. Derozan still needs to assert himself as a good shooter before he can go to the FT line more often. He's doing better this year but not good enough. He's still a sophomore so seeing results already is reassuring. I want Weems to do well too though. I like him more than Derozan to be honest. Yea the raps had a lot of close games with good teams so they should be proud. Once a solid rotation gets in place I think everyone will figure out their roles and start playing better as a team. The defense though..it needs to be more consistent.

Man..this isn't looking good for them. I have a feeling they'll try and adjust their playstyle/attitude throughout the season. Maybe give it a few seasons with a bad record and we'll strike gold with several first round draft picks and trade exceptions. wonder if Ed Davis' return will have any sort of impact. Thoughts?

I would've lost proline...but they still lost all 3 games. Man I guess the reality is starting to sink in...the raps D is still terrible. Guys would just walk into the paint or shoot 3's all day and the raps wouldn't adjust their D accordingly. It's really interesting cause they would be losing by a big margin by the 2nd or 3rd, then they'd make a decent comeback before running out of gas (or focus) in the final 10 minutes of the 4th and they end up losing.

I should've picked him up on my fantasy...but REB is all he's good for. I was about to drop Derozan from my roster but he scored 24 (wtf?!) last night so I got pretty lucky with that one haha. Maybe I should do some pro line...bet the raps will lose by at least 10 on all 3 road games. It's cynical and I still want them to win..but you gotta take into account the reality of the situation.

I watched the highlights, simply hilarious. I think we'll get at least 30 wins this year. I don't know to be honest, but the weak teams last year seemed to make some good decisions in the off-season. The Knicks, T-wolves, Nets and even the Cavs without James seem to be decent. The Kings and Clippers could be tough opponents if their bigs stay healthy. To be honest I don't want Toronto to get another 1st round 1s pick because we always end up getting flops. Maybe we can get a good late 1st rounder that'll shock the world. But thats a story for another decade lol.

Beebs, whats up man? Did you watch the Raps vs. Celtics game last night? That would've been a SICK comeback! If it was a close game throughout the 4th quarter they would've brought Rondo, KG and Allen in and it would've been over either way lol. But I'm glad the raps didn't just get blown out.

Where did Kapono get that kind of deal? And what kind of team would do that considering he played virtually nil minutes last season? I'm glad that Davis is bringing in some D, hope the Raps can all learn from him (especially Bargs, if he can play good D and improve his post game he will be a solid player). Alabi and Dorsey and a few other raw bigmen I also saw were drafted probably for the sake of rebounding and making a more solid presence in the paint. I think now there are too many big men on this team it's going to look a little weird. I guess it's to ensure Bargs and Johnson can play F or PF without getting bashed in a forced C position. I like the Barbosa trade, he's gonna work hard to get his stats back up since he was denied a lot of minutes last season. Its a different team, but I'm pretty excited to see what they'd be capable of.

That's sick man, I wish I could go to that, I hope you first NBA game will be fun and memorable. Lol I feel so sorry for Jason Kapono, He would be such a threat if he played in Phoenix (Nash) or the Magic (Howard's presence frees the 3). I hope Turk flops in Phoenix because he messed up TO's season. I don't want Phx to do bad, I just want him on the bench :)

Derozan, Weems, Johnson. I'm gonna love watching them play because their chemistry is very good. They're all young, I think they can be potential mid-contract level players if they work hard and if they're given the chance to flourish. To be honest I don't see Derozan making a solid mark as the face of the team until he starts making more shots from the outside. He's still young but he has all the resources to improve his game (he's a pro, enough said lol). I am definitely looking forward to watching his minutes going up now that Furk and Bosh are gone. Yea, Furk. It just sounds...right.
