How much better am I than you, on a scale one to ten? Only positive real numbers are allowed.

I went from High Violet --> Alligator --> Boxer. But really, all 3 of those albums are so good, it doesn't matter. But...I guess i'd suggest Alligator because there's a lot of variety there (Geese of Beverly Road, Mr. November, Secret Meeting, Abel are great stand-out tracks) and it's generally an uplifting album. However, if you're looking for something really somber but with moments of hope interspersed, I recommend High Violet (Runaway, Bloodbuzz Ohio, Lemonworld, Conversation 16, Terrible Love). But, like I said, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
