Hi Clio! I'm not sure how much you check this, but it's cool to see you're still scrobbling in 2025. :)

Felicitation on your 12th LASTFM ANNIVERSARY today :-) ... What is your opinion about lastfm nowadays ( and what did you want when you joined )? ... P.S. I devote this track (e.g. in youtube/itunes) to this anniversary of yours: ... the term "douze" in French means: 12 :-) ... genre: experimental/minimal -> ... "douze" (this track has 143 beats/mins): ... https://www.last.fm/music/Erkan+Y%C4%B1lmaz/_/douze -> this is from album ("violin edition (album #1)") ... Let us all stay away - from this distressing COVID-19 virus - and listen to our most liked music from home, more than usual!... Some things have gone out in the supermarkets the last days here in Germany ( e.g. rice, noodles, milk, toilet papers... ) And in your country?

Wishing you a relaxing "first Monday" in 2019 from the chilly German side of Europe, Miss C., it's lovely to know you make use of lastfm for over TEN years :-) ... Can you recall all this time, how did your musical exploration expand ? ... Also... all the best for your imminent 70777 scrobbles, and 1 artist to go until: "2333 artists scrobbled" milestones ... Will you play this one randomly, or selected? ... btw: How I stumbled upon your lastFM user page ? ... lastfm shows you as #12 in this weekly "Scrobble Leaderboard" charts: last DOT fm/user/hangmansfault/listening-report/week ... I am at #2 there ... For another great year of music for both of us!

Hey Clio! I'm doing really well thanks, how're you? We can certainly try! What's new with you? Do you like the new Warpaint? I pre-ordered the limited edition vinyl, so I'm just waiting on it to ship to me.

Oh good! I'm glad to hear that. I looked it up on Metacritic and it seemed to get better reviews as the seasons went on. My friend is recommended Orphan Black to me as well, so it must be good! So Yeezus... it's definitely growing on me. I find myself laughing out loud at times (I'm sure you can guess at which parts), but sonically it's quite interesting and I like the darker direction, although I do much prefer My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The week went pretty well! I'm feeling good at the moment for whatever reason, so let's hope it stays that way.

No problem! That sounds stressful. :( Any chance of it getting less hectic soon? I'm about to get it so I'll give you a mini review when I'm done! Yeah Alligator and Boxer are pretty damn hard to beat. I don't know the show Happy Endings? I'll add it to the TV list to catch up on!

Whoa it's six years! Congratulations on your five though. :) That's like a fifth of our lives on this website haha. I've heard comparisons to Death Grips musically, but I haven't listened to enough of their music to form an opinion. It's mainly just the lyrics being all over the place. That's why I love The National. Even going right back to their self-titled album, the band has consistently put out great music. Boxer is still my favourite. :D So good! Britta for the win.

Yeah me too! It will be my five year anniversary in August! That's so great to hear that the freelancing paid off :) and stability certainly makes life a bit easier for sure. Thank you! I'm loving the freedom. Critically Yeezus seems to be doing quite well, but I've read mixed reviews from friends. I'll check it out soon! I haven't heard any of the new Laura Marling or Caveman, but the rest are awesome. I keep going back to Bonobo's The North Borders, Disclosure, Foals, The National, Atoms For Peace etc. I think you'll really enjoy Young Fathers. They're alternative hip-hop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcRKZkk79-w

This is much better! Everything is going fine thanks Clio, how are you? Are you working at the moment or further studies? I'm still at the same job as last time, been there for almost 15 months now which seems crazy! I'm also living in an apartment on my own now and loving it. What are you enjoying lately? How's Yeezus?

Ah that's not so bad! It's not easy to move away but it could be a better option in the long term, and you could always go back and visit from time to time. I've been procrastinating on the lists a bit, but I've done a quick top 20 for a Facebook page I contribute to if you want to take a look. Lonerism is amazing! You can see by the list that I was also enjoying it very much. :)

It's definitely great to have options! How far would you have to move? I know what you mean about falling out of the loop a bit. I haven't had enough time to keep up like other years! I look forward to seeing the list anyway :) let me know when it's done! Sadly I didn't get to see them :( it crushed me not to go, but I couldn't afford it. Tickets sold out fast, so trying to get them after the sale proved to be very expensive, and then I would have had to get flights etc. I kind of think I made the right choice though, trying super hard to get out of debt.

Oh that sounds great Clio! Glad to hear it's something that's something along the lines of what you've been studying too. I haven't heard the How To Dress Well album, but the rest of those all had amazing albums. I'd definitely have Grimes, Chairlift, Purity Ring and Flying Lotus in there. Do you think you'll have time to do your lists?

Well I know we had some communication on Twitter, but has it really been over a year on here? Kinda crazy! Oh great to hear you found some work :) where will it be? I've been busy with work, and trying to save money. Which means unfortunately I haven't been doing many exciting things! Good to see you're still scrobbling too. What's your favourite this year?

No problem! I've only heard his most popular songs on YouTube but he's not that bad really! You don't generally expect much from actor or actress/musicians I guess or maybe we don't like the thought that someone could be awesome at both. It's very easy to procrastinate that's for sure! Well a lot of the jobs I want that tie in with music require journalism or marketing, I'm still considering my options at the moment.

There are so many good episodes, the paintball season finale was amazing. Have you heard Donald Glover's rap stuff? Aw I loved First Class! The bit where Magneto sends all of the missles back at the navy is so cool. Well that few weeks off will you do you good, I'm sure you need a break from studies! I'm thinking about doing some studies too actually, I really want to try and focus on getting a job I'm really happy with.

Yes! I love their skits they do at the end of every episode. Also that random character Magnitude makes me laugh every time he shows up. I saw Captain America tonight, that was pretty cool and Hanna has just come out in cinemas here and I've been meaning to see that too! What's happening in your life at the moment?

Another thing we share in common! After watching both seasons I realise I'm most similar to Britta and maybe a little bit like Jeff haha. Skying by The Horrors is amazing! Listening to that a lot at the moment.

Yeah I'm not too sure about it either, some of the tracks were pretty good but he has this kinda raspy mumble when he sings and nearly every song has an organ in it haha. OH and I'm also watching Community at the moment as well which is really funny. :D

Thanks I'm sure it will! I've never seen it but it kinda looked like 300 as a mini series. If you recommend it I will check it out though thanks! Right now I'm just watching Game of Thrones which is amazing and it looks like we were both listening to some Shabazz Palaces today :) it's really good, just got WU LYF as well.

Yeah I've read a couple of interviews with them talking about the album and it seems that they wanted to write some really honest love songs and in that sense they succeeded but yeah really sad news about Gerard :( it must be a tough time for TVOTR. I wish I could visit, I would love another (proper) Summer and I hope you get to enjoy it!

Hey :) I thought you disappeared for a bit! We got back into tweeting haha I saw you also watched the coachella stream, I hate not being able to go to these things but the streams have become much much better thankfully. Well to be honest I love TV on the Radio but it could be my least favourite album by them at the moment, not saying I don't like it because I do and I think the film was great and made me appreciate it more. There's just not as many standout songs to me. :( Everything else is good thank you! Almost Easter hooray and how are things going for you?

Excellent news! It's a lot harder than it sounds, I mean with work (like your study) I have to spend all day on the phone/computer and then when I come home I often just do the same thing for personal use, so it's a very inactive lifestyle. I'd probably be better to do some sport (even though I'm uncoordinated) or gym a couple of nights a week to even it out. Oh yeah the new Strokes is good :) I always think they have ridiculous expectations to meet after Is This It?

Oh sorry to hear that Clio :( I hope things get better soon and sorry for the late reply! I've been spending less and less time on the computer lately, it would seem that is a good thing but I'm not so sure haha. I'm doing well though thanks, there was a public holiday here today so I've enjoyed a relaxing long weekend, spent some time with friends. I need to catch up on some scrobbling!

So yeah Bibio leaked :D I'm not too sure what I think about it yet, he's steering further away from the ambient stuff he's released before and more into the experimental electronics of his Warp friends. I love all things Warp though so this doesn't bother me too much. Also did you hear the new TV on the Radio song? Lots of Radiohead this week!

Haven't heard anything else yet so maybe not, they do like surprises though. New Bibio will be the next one to look out for! Do you like Kaki King? Have we talked about this before? Haha I think she's awesome.

Well it's not like it wont be a financial success for them, so I guess it makes sense. I think the next movie I need to get around to is 127 Hours, everyone tells me I would enjoy it. Haha new Radiohead music is the best :) what do you think of it? I love it! Here's hoping there's more than the 8 songs released. There's a lot of speculation that it's only the first part.

Wait there's another Twilight movie coming? Didn't they finish it already? I know it sucks but they deserve some cash no doubt. What do you think about Red Riding Hood? From the same director so I'm not too sure. Oh sorry to hear that :/ yeah thanks, same to you! I went to a friend's wedding on Saturday, weiiiiird feeling.

Ok so I saw it tonight and it was incredible! Loved the way the movie was paced and the finale was quite beautiful. I agree with your Social Network comment though! Thanks for the recommendation :) I'll definitely check it out and Braids too. Warpaint have some great music videos, especially for the EP. Things are pretty good! Probably in need of a break at the moment but powering through.

I haven't seen it yet, I wanted to go with someone but they didn't get back to me and now another friend has asked me to wait so they can come? I ended up seeing True Grit though haha which is really really good. Yeah I'm loving the revival of the saxophones at the moment! How was the weekend?

Yeah it seems the worst is over thankfully! The festival was so good :) all of the bands I saw were great and most of it was free, I just wish things like that were on here more often and then I wouldn't want to move away! Sounds rather nice and relaxing then, how's the new Destroyer? I just got that one today so I'll listen soon. Hoping to see Black Swan this week. :D

Thank you! It got worse since I last talked to you but I think it's finally getting better, the weather around the world is really scary at the moment. I am on MSN at night here :( sometimes during the day on weekends but we seem to miss eachother. There's a local music festival on at the moment, seeing Owen Pallett tomorrow night and Grinderman and HEALTH later in the week, so happy! How was your weekend? :)

I don't think you're lazy! It takes a lot of time to put together anyway, let alone putting in another translation. I haven't used Orbit, I might check it out. Youtube downloader is good but it has lost Vimeo support and there's some amazing things on there as well, higher quality and more professional. Yeah in Australia there has been lots of towns flooded because of the rains and it is coming down quite heavy here as I type this. Hope it clears up for us soon! Have a great weekend.

Hey no problem! It took me a few attempts to actually leave that comment as I had to translate all the links haha. Oh yeah I have become an avid collector of the music video! You can use something like Youtube downloader to store them all on your computer and there were so many I wanted to watch again. New year's eve was fairly uneventful, I went to the waterfront with some friends to watch the fireworks and have a few drinks. It was nice though! How was yours?

Oh I use gchat too but for some reason it seems to make my computer go really slow when a couple of people message me and when I get a new message it interrupts my audio, frustrating. Haha yeah time differences are always interesting but I'm sure we will both be on at the same time at some point, otherwise this is still fine! I like having something to check on here considering I still pay for the service. :) It's pretty much the same here, a lot of my friends have the flu also but I don't think it's going to get me, hope you feel better soon! I think I have decided but not actually made a list, trying to find time to do it.

Oh do you have MSN? I still use it a lot but most people I know just use Facebook chat now, which is convenient but less reliable. Anyway you can add me on either, my e-mail is johnathan.salter@live.com.au. Everything is going pretty good, not a very busy weekend but managed to get out of the house both days and enjoy some weather. How about you?
