Hey, buddy. :) How are you liking the new InnerWish album? You must have waited a long time for that one. :D

Yeah, I am liking it. I was even surprised to find out they were releasing new music. It had been a few years or so since their last release. They went through a record label change and all. Really good stuff.

I'm still not looking at mine... I want that reveal! What do you think of Therocracy? Just listening to their latest record as well. It's pretty good stuff!! They strike a really good balance between the power and progressive elements. :)

Theocracy is one of my favorite bands. Their latest is good, but I think I prefer some of their older stuff more.

I should add, if you were not aware of it the song Sea of Lies features Hansi from Blind Guardian.

I recently re-read "The Satanic Bible". What an absolute travesty of a book. How any adult can adhere to such an absurd bundle of ideas is truly beyond me.

I have never read it. I had a friend who owned that and the Necronomicon book. I doubt I will ever read it.

It's not worth it. :P Necronomicon is fictitious anyway, Lovecraft never wrote it.

Haha, Yeah they seem to always be there. Same #1 for me again. I am going to try to venture out a little of my comfort zone a little more this year and switch it up. It seems I've been listening to the same stuff over and over the last few years.

Yeah, They were my all time favorite before I started to listen to Christian music. Seen them live 3 times. Feel I want to venture out a little more but have some restrictions of what I won't listen to. Stuff like Deicide is a big no for me. Use to listen to them in the late 90's but won't go there again To Anti Christian for me.

You gotta do what you gotta do. :) I don't particularly find the lyrics of Deicide that compelling, but they have some tasty riffs, and that's what I am out for. :P

I didn't doubt they would be top 5, just didn't desire to listen as often this year. My real surprise is Petra being in my top 5. I always liked them but didn't listen to the that much until this past year. Let's see what kind of surprise I'll have this year.

Michael Sweet announced that all the songs (music) for the new album is done and they will start rehersing soon. Innerwish kind of remind me of Iced Earth a little. I think that is why I have taken to them. Only they have a Christian message.

It seems Michael Sweet don't ever stop. Even after having eye surgery. One thing I am going to look out for this year, since 2017, the artist with the most listens in January has went on and been my most listened artist for the year.

I'm rather new to Christian metal myself, especially because not being from an English speaking country, maybe metal is not as common and neither Christian oriented, hope you don't mind me looking through your library. Have a blessed Advent, if you celebrate

In case you are interested, Stryper are livestreaming a performance of "To Hell with the Devil" on the 18th. I can't really justify splashing the cash on it at the moment, but I thought you might want to know. :)

First listen of Sunbomb... It is cool to hear Michael on something else in type of the musical structure. There's some pretty Black Sabbath inspired songs in there. I need one or two more listens to get a more definitive view on it, but I will say that I do not like the mixing, it is very spotty, and it was clear that Michael was not doing it. My primary problem is that the vocals are not clear enough compared to the rest of the instruments which is something Stryper nails with their production.

It is the most obvious to me on the opening track 'Life'. Try and listen to a Stryper track from either "God Damn Evil" and "Even the Devil Believes", I think you should be able to hear it. And of course! I said I would. :D

No surprise to me. It was a big year for them. I am surprised that they didn't have my top song or album though. Not sure if they will keep it up this year or not. I slowed down a little on them towards the end of the year. I think I am going to check out some of the Sweet & lynch stuff.

Stryper was number 6 the year before for me and had went to #1 this past year. Not only that Michael Sweet's solo stuff ended up in my top 10 also. Theocracy has been #2 the past 2 years and I could see them being #1 this year.

I really enjoyed the demo for that game! I got every trophy but the shard one, I'm missing one shard and I had been checking shards I found off of a printed map... I'm not so sure I'll be getting that plat. They improved a lot in the second game, I can't even remember everything. In the demo I did notice he was really fast, which was kinda weird. And I'm not a fan of his new voice either. Definitely picking that game up when it gets cheaper.

Thanks, I must say it feels good to be done with it now. And I definitely agree with you on wipeout and dead nation. Me and my brother had a lot of fun burning through DN in coop. Wipeout has good graphics, but I only played it a bit. Ah nice, I'll assume you are enjoying mass effect 2? My one friend is absolutely loving it

Hey sorry for taking so long to respond, I'm getting really close to finishing school and have been really busy with things for awhile now. I've been meaning to check out your trophy count now! You've got a few extra plats since I last checked. Very nice, I got Dead Nation also, it's a lot of fun, so I hope you picked it up. I'm also getting Wipeout hd haha. You should download the game Comet Crash, it's like tower defense, a lot of fun!

Oh ok. How many different difficulties are there? Yes the trophies are definitely easier this time which is nice. Yes ive been meaning to, I should check out what the prices are at right now. Sweet, you going to pre-order it? Man, last night I went to see Haste the Days farewell tour. It was so awesome! I got to talk with a bunch of the guys, got the tour poster signed by all of HTD, and anyone else I found that had a marker handy lol

Ah cool. My name's referencing Star Wars lol. 4 is just my favourite number. Wow, hopefully you get all of them in #2 also. I heard the first is fairly easy to plat? If you liked kz2 then you've got to get this one, its definitely better than kz2. I also got the move sharp shooter, makes the game more fun. Yes, I liked TPR, but I was expecting it to be better. AOBU is my favourite by them, it set some pretty high standards. Haha that's exactly the same with me. I got into them after hearing there will be violence. I definitely agree with you there

Ok cool. I wish I owned the uncharted games. Right now I'm playing Killzone 3 and Test Drive Unlimited 2. Sounds like your name references the showdown, very nice haha. Yes, both did but Impending Doom is writing right now, hopefully come out late in the year. As for AILD, they said that they will be releasing some songs at some point so im pretty sure that means an EP. They're both some of my favourite bands so Im happy

Thanks. If you ever get the chance to, you have to. They're so good live. It's been a couple years since I've seen them though. There were 2 times that I was supposed to see them but they dropped out of the tours. It happened once last year and once the year before that. I'm hoping to see them this year though

I'm going to see the movie Unknown in about a half hour or so. Have you seen the Showdown live? They are so awesome. I want to see them again rwally bad. That's cool, I wish I had a PS3. My username is in it's entirety take from the Haste The Day song 68. The first verse says "I am the one you will call the destroyer..." So I just took the destroyer part of it and added the 68 at the end, it just worked in my opinion since I wanted to have a number at the end of it. I use it for almost everything. The perfect night is a great song, thanks for sharing haha. My favorites are White As Snow and The Place Where Most Deny. I can't decide between the two haha

Hmm I met them late, when the United Abominations album came out. I loved their songs because they are about unnecesarry wars, politics and simply about life, their songs are powerful and catching. That's the way it goes ;]

The album is very good in my opinion. There are many that are criticizing it, but I think it's the start of The Showdown defining their sound. They've went from Death Metal to Southern Rock, and this most present combination of both of them, coupled with a touch of groove metal, is quite remarkable. My favorite songs so far would have to be Take Me Home, Graveyard of Empires, and Diggin My Own Grave. What do you think about it?
