it's not just her voice so much as it is. . . . everything about her. that's as nice as i can make my answer sound, even though it sounds pretty mean. (i almost always delete shouts after i've responded to them.)

thanks for shouting. . . as for the beastie boys, i love them so much that i feel like i could actually sometimes kind of cry about it. and as for joanna newsom, her absence from my charts is very intentional. i've tried her time and again, and i just can't stand her. no offense. based on your strong feelings, i'm willing to give her another try. it's probably gonna be like tomatoes though. sometimes i think, "those look delicious. there's no good reason for hating them all these years." and so i get all amped up and unbiased and open minded, take a bite, and then spit it RIGHT out the moment the texture and taste register with my senses. yep, that's joanna newsom to me. who can understand these things?? not me.
