There is plenty of good prog out there and its sad that people dismiss it because its older than 5 years old >.>.....like I said on the Converge page you have the great pure prog bands like Van Der Graaf Generator, Camel, Magma, King Crimson, YES, Jethro Tull, Caravan, and Gentle Giant. prog metal are usually bands like Sacred Blade, Fates Warning, Psychotic Waltz, early Queensryche (which I'm not really into), Crimson Glory, Supuration, Voivod, Watchtower, Anacrusis, ect. Its actually very hard to find good prog imo.

Look up Vallenfyre, they're a "Death Metal" (Really Doom Metal) band featuring the guitarist of Paradise Lost (Gregor Mackintosh) on Vocals, and they have My Dying Bride's Bassist (I think). Reeaaaalllllyyyyyy good.
