Aha... How's the alternative scene in Egypt? It seems to be rising in places like Lebanon or Jordan in recent years, haven't had a chance to hear anything from Egypt yet.

you mean about mostly listening to music not on laptop? I guess that's a general trend nowadays, with the spread of iPods, smart phones and things like that. some time ago my iPod scrobbling worked perfectly, now it doesn't work at all, so I just thought...eh, whatever :) but Last.Fm still helps me find some new good music every now and then.

Ah yes I saw it before, I was learning french sometime ago (didn't take it in school) and I was trying to watch some French cinema and it was the best of what I saw (along with La Double Vie De Veronique), I remember the erotic dinner where they were feeding eachother sea food, that was beautiful, you're the first person I talk to who loves Murakami and you read a lot for him :D, tell me is The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle good? I'm planning to buy it next after I finish Kafka On The Shore, I didn't hear of that book before, are you enjoying it? I'll try to check all the recommendations (thank you very much), I didn't watch The Dreamers yet, I love Eva Green and I think The Dreamers made her look like a sex object (like Sharon Stone with Basic Instinct) and I think of her much more than that, so The Dreamers always gave me an off energy, must watch it though (her movie Perfect Sense is beautiful)

Who are your favourite directors now? Recommend me movies, please, I got so fed up with Hollywood that I'm experimenting with other cinema, recently I watched some Iranian movies that made me want to rape Egyptian movie makers who bitch about production hindering them from making masterpieces

I think this is the best way anyone has ever discovered Sigur Ros, I envy you :D, I discovered them from the usual Vanilla Sky, that Glorie track is very good, not unlike usual Post Rock where you think like yes I listened to stuff like this many times before, from sometime ago I reached a point where I was not impressed about Post Rock and Doom Metal scene beause every album you listen to you feel like, another same formula, I'm sure you felt like that at times too, I love Rokkurro, especially that song and the opener to the same album, everytime I listen to them I think I should drink Cappucino with this :D, really you were dissapointed with Lies I Sire? even the violins couldn't help :)? the latest one is below it anyway so don't bother

This is so beautiful, thank you :), I feel Sigur Ros are way more than Post Rock but they opened up new horizons for every post rock band out there (thier last album is so beautiful), I love Agalloch too, they have this raw quality to thier songs that draws you in, you probably know this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u22wSE7GAvo , I nominate this to be the best song I've ever heard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qtQ2-5wWP8 What do you think of My Dying Bride's latest album? surely you are waiting for Saturnus's new album like me :)

And I like how there's so much Art/Prog with Death/Doom/Folk...I know well about the crossing point of beauty where all these different sounds meet =), There's a Post Rock track constantly playing in my head these days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRv4Jpfh-b4 celebrating (what we call) winter, I give you this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDco-6CfC2c
