Cheers Mark.. I thought that though with any other band I still get music from the 'radio' band i am listening too.. It's only with the ones I mentioned. Weird. I have no plays with these bands at all and I dont know why they don't come up. Sigh. Thanks for teh compliment, I see that you are rockin too ;)

Rest of the album is really. That tags along at the end really. True, they have always been popular and it is probably true, their quality has just gone, run ouf of ideas, and become a band that is highly pretentious and trying way too hard. You said i was a hipster. Isn't hipster basically just someone trying to be different. I'm just stating i listen to anything if it sounds good, regardless of its popularity. Some electronic producers are big and deserve it. Skrillex isn't one of them and i detest to see such a lacking talent doing so well (I'm sure you dislike Beiber's and JLS's popularity right?). Especially when i see someone jumping bandwagon at things which are big at the time highly annoys me hence my heavy dislike of the guy!

I would like to say I never discard anything until i hear it, because that is elitism and this hipster term you use. If it's popular doesn't make a difference to me, generally though to be popular means you have to be crap which is a sad state of the music industry. Obvious exceptions there, but most bands have to sellout to gain huge success. Kings of Leon (recent 2, maybe 3 albums), Muse (recent 2 albums) are 2 examples of quality bands losing their way and gaining mass popularity as a result.

When i went through a phase when i was younger i used to like a lot of awful bands and music. 30STM was one of them so i know how bad objectively they are. JUst teenage angst. Kings of Leon's early stuff is quality. First 2 albums are as good as efforts by the Arctic Monkeys and the best really. Widely known. Their new stuff is incredibly bad i agree though. A real shame. AC/DC i don't listen to much of because they do base their music so generically. But their whole influence and energy they have is something to behold and just because their music isn't that technical doesn't make them bad. Skrillex bandwagoned like he did with his previous band. He does what is popular at the time. His music is terribly produced and features the same techniques and poor production in every song. Very generic. I make an effort to listen to stuff i don't like. Hell if i was that elitist about music would i really listen to pop music (stuff like Robyn pop music which albeit is actual real quality).

Skrillex is a disgrace for a multitude of reasons, namely bandwagoning popular genres and then creating generic stuff. It saddens me when people think electronic music (or dubstep, even though it isn't dubstep lolz) is like that as it is so badly produced. The mainstream pop equivalent of something like JLS. And 30STM are just emo music which makes me cringe. It just angers me to see bands like that getting so much attention when they are so rubbish so excuse the rant :P Wouldn't call it overly elitist as it is actually true and an opinion taken widely by most people. It does make me think that it sucks i take music quite so seriously sometimes, but whatever i'm glad i do :P

It probably is a big thing with bands staying together which is how a lot keep their fame a la Oasis and then Stone Roses for example who split ages back. I think so, how much are they? Annoyingly they aren't in Bristol, so Cardiff is my best bet. But i really want to see them live, are you?

People have actually said that haha! I know that they were rated high then, but people go on about Oasis, Pulp and a lot of brit pop and Stone Roses get forgotten. In terms of rock music they were the best band of the period, or one of the best and way better than those. Oasis were always wannabee Beatles and never had much quality.

One perk about subbing, seeing stalkers which is why i try not to visit anyones profile who is subbed lol Also yes IATR is an epic song, and the break is so sweet. Stone Roses have to be one of the most underrated bands of the period. So much better than Smiths, Oasis etc.

I applied for the beta for a find friends feature and they gave it for free to those people for a month. Nifty, haven't been subbed since i started using the service.

Best is definitely bold, and hard to see at this moment. Time will tell how good the album is. Album is very American influenced from the likes of QOSTA so you will like it more for that i'm sure! I think all their albums show quite a progression. Strokes album isn't shit, just disappointing with a few decent tracks. Kind of Limbs has no longetivity but has 2 good tracks in Lotus Flower and Codex. Apart from that it is very poor and missing Radiohead's spark, quality an dinnovation we are used to from them. Feral is just a remake of a Burial/James Blake style, with nothing new there for example.

Yeh the new album is fantastic and whilst early to say is easily up there with their best, and may be a bit better. Library Pictures is a great song, and the whole album lives up to it too, reallt impressed, and very nice to see an album not being a let down after many letdowns lately from james blake, strokes, radiohead which is stuff which pales in comparison when you compare it to some of their other stuff. Anyway get the album if you haven't. It's really really good.

Sorry about that I was just sick of people insulting vocalists on every single progressive rock and metal band. I apologize for insulting your musical taste.

Well yeh Blackbird is pretty epic. I knew of them about 2 years ago when my taste was pretty cruddy. However, rediscovered them lately. I'm not big on them, they have a few good songs, and i've listened to a few songs from their new album and wasn't that impressed. Blackbird i stand by being awesomeness.

lol at beiber. he is probably one of the most hated people in the industry, which i find humorous. that sort of music didn't interest me much before i got into, but i gradually got into it and found that i preferred it. i guess ultimately you arne't going to find something appealing until you actually get into it really. but yeh music is music, if you enioy what you're into atm it doesn't matter. you got your whole life to get into different stuff really! As i see it if you like Radiohead's more experimental stuff yuo probably would like a lot what i like seeing as Yorke listens to a lot of different electronic and experimental music and draws a lot of influence from that plus albums like Kid A is basically a flat out electronic album.

Intelligent music and something you have not listened to before you don't get right away. Surely you know that :P You listened to his ambient works, you know his versatility right? Ambient is one small part of his repetoire. The person i would class as in the top 5 musicians of the 20th century. It takes time to get used to his genius. Next thing you will be telling me is that you like Justin Beiber because he is as catchy as fuck anyway :P

What i thought once and i din't listen much further than acts like fatboy slim, the chems, prodigy. But i was wrong :) - Slash's album is the best of the decade so far, a great rock album, not many weak tracks and some real crackers, i love it!
