hey, i've been internetless for AGES! but yeah i really like toris new album, and i've seen her live and she was AMAZING.I also have seen amanda palmer (from the dresden dolls) play live and sang with her outside one of her shows playing the ukulele!

if you really like GYBE you'll probably like more post rock, and theres a ton of other great bands in that vein I could point you to. Right now Explosions in the sky, Yndi Halda, Do Make Say Think, and a bunch of other bands are making some great music

Well, you do get a personal radio, which is pretty cool. Apart from that, nothing special so far, but the radio is worth it. I thought I'd just give it a go for a while - tis pretty cheap.

Sing is amazing! you should check out the video it's cheesy but it has a nice message. I especially love the last lines and how she sings them with such power.

I found the number of the beast cover at Myspace last night. It's an interesting take and a good song. But i gotta go with Iced Earth's version for my fav, even over the original. :)

To get a real taste of his music, check out I Still Sing the Old Songs, and maybe When Jesus Was a Rumor. I like Tennessee Whiskey, but I don't consider nearly as good as the two I just mentioned. Let me know what you think.

I agree with Supervixen1753, Tori Amos has some really good shit. Winter and 1000 Oceans are two of my other favorites by her. Have you heard The Cure's Mixed Up album? It's different, but I am starting to like it.

I am going to check out Chris Knight today. I suggest DAC Ultimate Collection Disc 2 (Disc 1 is nearly as good, but I like disc 2 the best). I love all of his shit, but that's the one I would start with.

I will check the album out. DAC's funny shit is what he is best known for, but I love him for all of his other stuff. He has made countless albums of sad country music. He reminds me a lot of the brilliant shit that Johnny Cash produced a few years before he died. Anyway, country music is probably not at the top of your list, but if you ever decide to give it a listen, check out his other albums.

Note on 'Past The Mission' It's a brilliant song once you get into it, i believe it's about Mary Magdalen, jesus & his disciples, and their relationship. i presume Reznor's voice is meant to reprisents jesus. Anyway you should check it out.
