HEY!!! I haven't been on this site in so long. I have been doing really well! My PC broke then a few months later my laptop broke cause I have awesome luck, so I have neglected to scrobble in some time. I probably should start again soon though! How have you been? Are you located in PA still or did you end up moving to Canadia?? Any cool adventures? I'm super duper jealous of you Limbeck vinyl. TELL ME HOW TO GET ONE! I'm still really sad that Limbeck broke up before I had a chance to see them. :( :( Sadly, I missed Fest last October. Did you end up going? I'd love to go this year so I'm gonna start saving now. talk soon! you should add me on facebook cause I forget to check this thing quite a bit haha. www.facebook.com/longyear Have a splendid day!

I love where they're taking their sound. One of the only bands that have changed, and I actually enjoy it.

Yeah, and worst case i know trustworthy people in the NYC area, i might be spending the night out there as well. and i'm not sure where in Canada yet. I don't know many people who have lived there. Needs to have a big TV market like toronto/montreal/vancouver, cause i'm going into the broadcasting field.

that's awesome. i've been looking into moving to canada after i graduate college. I'm actually gonna be on spring break that week, and i go to school in Oswego NY and i'll be heading back upstate the day after the show. so i might be able to give you a ride back up there. or at least mostly back up there.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Trying to see them as many times as possible on this last tour, and 2 seems to be the most I can manage.

I want to go badly, but making decisions more than a month in advance isn't my thing.

Yeah, according to the site they are only selling 2250 passes. I guess they are making it more exclusive so they have to raise the prices.

Yeah, Spraynard's new album is really good. I've been doing pretty good. Trying to land a job right now to start building my Fest 10 fund. You should check out Joyce Manor's S/T. It has been my favorite release this year.

Hello Jamie, yes, there I was, someone lent me a bike so I could stay til the end (it's true that the squat was in the middle of nowhere); The Japanthers, though, were not in their best moment, a bit too much of 'automatic pilot play' to me. I'll be in France til June and won't be able ton lisen to your recommendations either, so take it easy :-) Good trip!

Hello Jamie, I got to your profile by the Japanther gig at Lyon. I see you're a PIX fan, that's cool, I love it. Since you're asking for bands from all over the world, from Spain I can't recommend you enough: Hello Cuca, Bananas, Detergente/Cohete, La Otra Gloria, Thelematicos, TCR/Incrucificables, Los Muebles, Ginkas, Kokoshca, Crono, Gran Viernes... Cheers!

i forgot to tell you how fest was! it was amazing in every way possible. I saw most of the bands i really wanted to see and met some awesome people. Frank Turner partied in my hotel room and played a secret show. I'm really stoked to go next year and it'll be super easy to get on a show there. so how was Ireland/btmi? really awesome or what?

"One of the main reasons I put this on my page is to get music recommendations from all over the world." : From Ireland, I really suggest Fight Like Apes (synth pop-rock, it doesn't sound good, but I'm in love), And So I Watch You From Afar (instrumental rock, but their music is genuinely the most beautiful thing in the world), Axis Of (punk, yi'd find them on myspace), Team Fresh (from the North coast, hip hop rock in a Derry accent, trust me, you'll laugh), General Fiasco (if yer into soft pop rock) and obviously the motherfuckinger Pogues and the Dubliners &hearts. Also, I sincerely hope you get a floor to crash on in Dublin if yer still heading to BTMI (: I'm not sure whether or not I'm going, I'm dirt broke, so I'm trying to raise the bus fare from Belfast to Dublin, but as an idea, if you don't get somewhere to stay, just hang about the 24 hour joints, like McDonalds, or sleep in the aul airport! That's what I'll be doing if I make it!

ahhhhhhhhhh it looks like I'm missing out on a lot of Limbeck. I downloaded "This Chapter is Called Titles" today and am digging it a lot more than I thought I would. Limbeck used to be a pop punk band, wat??. Where can I get a hold of those recordings? I would greatly appreciate it if i had more Limbeck in my life. I'm super jealous that you're going to Ireland AND seeing them. have fun! And I'm from New Haven, CT but go to school in Danbury, CT at Westconn. How're things in Philly? Are you planning on going to fest? I'm buying my ticket this week! I'm really trying to get my band to play a house show while we're down there.
