Hey, I'm a Christian. It's weird to say that because for a long lime I struggled with the idea but I can say it now with 100% confidence. As for my stance on religion in general, it can be a positive but I can easily see why people very strongly disagree with it and if I had my way there would be somewhat of a reformation worldwide.... I definitely recommend them. Don't let the christian themes put you off though they're not upfront, obnoxious (no hillsong here) or even pushy about it. Also I know a lot of very anti-religous people who enjoy them if that helps. Arron's lyrics especially stand out, he's a magnificent story teller and I would love to spend the day just talking and trying to see the world through his eyes. In terms of recommendations they have gone from a very angst-ridden band to more of a merry folk style. The best place to start though would be 'catch us for the foxes'. Also be sure to let me know if you liked it or not!

jerry's as great as expected and william's voice sounds great on 'check my brain' and 'black gives way to blue' though i would've preferred soundgarden in their original line up but i have not lost all of my hope. i wish i could be there... since mastodon cancelled a festival i went to this year and deftones only played like 300 miles away which is a pretty far distance here in germany since gas is pretty expensive and stuff like that. anyway, i hope deftones are gonna be great ;)
