In all seriousness download BOC in all their studio album and glory and listen, you realise it makes sense. TRUST ME.

You know I'm fairly certain it was the most obvious one on my list: Blue Oyster Cult. They have never done a bad album and have 14 studio albums to choose from. I would say start from the beginning in 1974, but that may take a while so for now just listen to their 1988 offering and my favourite album: Imaginos. You will not be disappointed.

Haha no need to be jealous, i decided against it for two reasons. 1. Over £30 for any gig is expensive and the CIA is not one of my favourite venues. 2. I'm instead catching Dananananaykroyd on their farewell tour which should be pretty ace. We need to discuss how next week is gonna pan out soon.

thank you for accepting, and for the kind words. you have quite the eclectic library yourself. i guess i did the same -- opened up to things much more over the years. now, however, i'm open to so much, there's so much i want to listen to, and i love hearing new stuff, that i'm afraid i haven't the time to get to the half of it. my library barely reflects the surface of my taste... but i suppose it never really will. the quotes are from songs by kristin hersh and built to spill, respectively.

Don't worry this quiet(ER) period of listening stats does have an explanation, I haven't quit fitting just as many songs in to one day as is humanly possible. 'Tis all cos me hard-drive is fucked, leaving me iTunes down for the time being as my collection could never dwell within the confines of the limited memory capacity of ein laptop

Alright man sorry i have been late in replying, been fairly busy over the last couple of days and forgot about it lol. Yeah I really liked The Strokes new album, it took a couple of listens to properly appreciate it, but now i think it is as good as anything they have done. I agree about Taken for a Fool being a stand out track. For me also Life is Simple in the Moonlight stands out and is probably my favourite. What was it about the single that you weren't sure on then? Its quite different to anything they have ever done i Would suggest but i think its pretty cool. I should be around for most of Easter I would have thought. When are you heading back/ for how long?

I have booked ein ticket for Sonic Youth now sir. Well we all knew this day would come for Pavement. I can't help but wonder whether some of the actions of SM are a bit of an act really for publicity/ makes a good story. I doubt there really is that much animosity between them. They wouldn't have toured together for 7 months if there was. Oh and KOL and sh*t? Who knew?

No Live at Days Inn actually lol. Looks like Pavement are done now doesn't it? Based on reviews of the last gig and the old 'I think its going to be important that you came' comment. Also on the Jicks website (its actually been updated!) SM's words seem to suggest it is over. Although i did see they were meant to be playing in Brazil in Nov i think but i doubt that will happen.

Yeh, Pukkelpop sold out :-( First time in 25 years.. But I have to remake soms exams so I have more time to study, ahum. Always look on the bright side! I can imagine the situation with your brother. It's the same with my sister. She listens terrible jumpstyle/hardcore stuff, auwgh. Now I'm studying in my place at the university campus, with my own music haha. I think your studies are quiet interesting! By the way, I want to read your les ardentes review! Let me know if you're finished.

Hey, thanks! The juice box stuff is really old, just GarageBand recordings I made in college spawned from marathon songwriting sessions. But I'm glad you're into it! I am on tour with another band right now but plan on getting some more tracks recorded this fall. Just out of curiosity, how did you hear about me?

Hey, sorry about the late response. Yeh, the organisation could better but next year I'll be there! Best festival this summer, definitely. By the way, thanks for the compliment. Lately, I listen more and more electro/dubstep music. At this moment, I'm very open minded. It's true, I find pleasure in listening to all types of music except r&b/hiphop crap :P. What do you study? Never heard of a commercial music course here in Belgium, but it sounds nice! What do you want to do with your degree?

Heeeello mister. Yeah I am not too bad, just chillin n stuff. Let's take it as the last 10 days were a holiday for me. Did I tell you I was accepted to Richmond? There's a lot of things to be considered yet, but let's see what happens next. Anyway, I don’t think I will be going to Manchester this weekend. No matter how much I am trying to convince myself it’s worth it, I always come back to a conclusion it’s not. Waaay too much funds for a couple of songs. I’d love to see the band though, but maybe a wee bit closer if they come back anytime soon. Let’s keep our eyes open for any other events in the near future, yeah? Xxx

Alright J, how's it going? I actually quite like the idea, although there is a birthday party going on in London that day (and it's a pirate one! lol). I've checked the band and I have to say I would be well up for seeing them. Did you ask Lin if she'd like to come along? I'll give it a good thought and let you know as soon as I decide what do I wanna do. x x x

Hey! Yes, I went the full four days + camping. I am really become a fan of Les Ardentes, I really liked the festival (except the organisation). We were standing in the line for the camping for four hours, in the sun without any shadow. Beside that, the festival was great. In my opinion, Saturday was - no doubt - the best day. My top 3: The Tellers, Sound of Stereo, Piano Club. Also, I was very surprised about The Tellers. Never expected that they were such a good band. I heard also some good d&b and dubstep, very nice but not your style apparently ;). I saw Pavement from your top 3, they were good but it's not my cup of tea. I didn't see Charlotte Gainsbourg :-(. A friend of mine texted me that there was a storm in the region so we walked to the camping to protect our stuff and to strenghten our tent. I find it very regrettable, especially because the storm didn't burst.

I saw them only once in Japan. I'm jealous of you Brits :p I'm secretly hoping another band member gets into yet another not-so-serious financial problem

Hey, I just went to post a message on pvmt's page and saw your shout there! I did exactly the same thing down in Brixton. Had tickets for the third show for months, went along, and I just needed more. So headed down again for the fourth show and got some tickets off some touts down there. Definitely worth it!

Sorry for the delay in uploading. Been super busy the last few days. Will do it before the weekend is out. I love PENS! I'll give you some exclusive stuff in my upload of the too. Yeah! Pavement Slanted And Enchanted / CR CR era. Wowee Zowee was the last really great album they did for me, and then they got a bit patchy. But man, when they're in their element, they really are just amazing!

Hey... sure, I'll upload them for you, as you can no longer hear full tracks etc from artists pages, as of recently, which is a real shame. Love the Look Look girls! Check out their current band PENS. They are one of my fav bands at the moment. I can upload some of their stuff too if you'd like, as again you can only hear 30 second clips. Also, they have just replaced older songs with newer ones on their MySpace, which are quite different. Yeah, Pavement are one of my all time favourite groups! Lucky enough to see them at their peak too. Man, they were the most exciting thing back then! I was also at their last ever official concert in London before they disbanded.

Hey man, it means a lot to hear that, I really appreciate the kind words. I'm really blown away whenever people have such kind things to say about my work, a million thanks. I have heard that recording by the way, their new song Helicopter sounds so good, I'm excited to hear their new material that's (I assume?) coming out soon. Thanks again & all the best, Warren

Hey, thanks man. No I completely missed that, i'm gonna have to check it out now. See that's exactly why BBC 6 shouldn't be axed. Yeah cheers for checking out my blog, i keep meaning to add more album reviews on there, give it a bit more spice, but you know how it is when you make plans....never happens. I'm happy to introduce someone else to the wonder of Gray Matter, I guess you can see now why I put that album on there now, It is fucking amazing!

I have no idea...the only thing I can think of is that we might have met at a gig in Brighton? I remember telling someone to add me but all other details are lost in a drunken haze.

Hehe i don't actually remember saying that but i have no doubt that i did, sounds like the sort of thing i would probably say. I think you know what i am getting at when i say it but it is perhaps a little unfair. I refer to songs such as Losing My Religion and Shiny Happy People that are oft overplayed but tbh i had never really listenend to any of their earlier stuff and so thought it was about time. And........Yes i did enjoy listening to it and it was on spotify. So i sort of take back any criticisms made. I still haven't replied to your Facebook msg and will do so when i get a moment.

Writing tomorrow's history? Pfft thats not a link, history has to be in the past it can't be something thats not happened yet! But yes i admit my course has absolutely nothing to do with history- apart from maybe the history of banking or tax- exciting! Still haven't listened to LC, are you sure they are playing at Chester or did you mean the Cardiff one in May? So Pavement are back then, i have been watching clips on Youtube of their comeback gig. Probably doesn't do it justice tbf. As for my exams, i don't find out until after easter break when they are. So its still a case of wait and see for me really.

It's okay, I don't mind waiting for replies as long as they're good ones. Which yours always are! I can't stand the radio, and I'm kind of against music videos (I won't explain that unless you ask me to, haha) so it wouldn't be those that I heard them from, but oh well. Point is that I did! It would be nice to go see Pavement in Toronto, but I wouldn't be able to afford it since I just recently quit my job. I'm still yet to decide which albums my favorite, I'm just enjoying the tracks. I've been great though! I'm still in high school, unfortunately haha. But semester one just recently finished for us, so now I have all new classes which are actually pretty good.

I'm envious that you got a reading week or 'PDP' week as you so rightly noted that they call it these days. Yes indeed we would be on the path to being historians, but would that be such a bad thing? I mean there was a time when it was both your dream and ambition, I don't think you can turn your back on such things so easily. lol. I think Romance is Boring is on spotify or it was last time i checked. I have reactivated my facebook account (I know lol) which probably makes me a sell out or something but i guess there is no getting away from it in this day and age really. Not that i missed it but like you say it doesn't really do any harm keeping it active. Still for some reason reactivating it feels like a real kick in the teeth and i'm not really sure why. How strange.

No i haven't got it yet will have to track it down somehow as i would doubt it will be on spotify although i haven't looked. Must be a bit daunting having to do stuff like play keyboards and music theory when perhaps you haven't had much practice in the past. Its the same with me a bit with my Maths, as i have never been overly good at it and having only done intermediate at GCSE, there are areas of the course that prove to be pretty tricky. Just have to get plenty of practice i guess. Whats the new Los Campesinos album like? Will give it a listen at some point.

Of course I have Room To Live! lol, Yeah its one of my favourite albums as is The Real New Fall LP which i note you have been listening to recently. I love Mountain Energi and Protein Protection to name but two.I have most of The Fall's albums apart from some where i am waiting on the reissues. To be honest i listen to music mostly on my ipod these days which is why not much happens on here really and i can't seem to get my ipod to scrobble. Haven't really given much thought to Pavement of late. Who are they? lol. Uni is going alright, this term will whizz by mark my words and exams will be upon us. Hows it all going for you?
