have you ever listened to The Beatles? ^_^ They're a pretty new but innovative band even this early in their career! It seems right up your alley, bro. They got some light folk songs, some jammin' rock tunes, experiment big band and psychedelic rock and some crazy other sick tracks. If you wanna be hip and in the now, JTrail, you gotta check these dudes out.

thanx for the insight! yeah i'll certainly give it a few shots later on (i'm seeing them in July so i'd like to be especially familiar with everything by then) but yes! i also really like the sort of sound they played with on Undersea and are applying to this one.

oh hey it's jake. the jake from tumblr jake. how did you feel about the antlers' new album? i didn't get totally through it last night. i really like the first track though but i'm not super sure if it's like, a very distinctive album coming from them but then again first listens of stuff i even feel positive about aren't the most reliable for me.

You missed my eva reference doofus I understand what you're saying about it, and an emotional connection to a piece of work over time is indisputable (lyrics relegating to personal experience, a variety of other factors etc etc). There are a plethora of albums I don't listen to any more (post-punk, Radiopleb) for which I apply those connections, but I'm starting to not care for that kind of listening experience much as time goes on (and you may find the same). As for the 'technical' aspect I think a lot of guitar tones are quite well done, but the chord structures and ~dream pop~ vibes fall a little flat for me. Our difference here is definitely in listening history. I feel like Nocturne has a lot more going on throughout. I'm not saying it's more forward thinking, just... a more complete experience. And that's why Days is objectively a 6/10 :^)

What is so great about Days? Wilding Nothing's nocturne is a much better execution of all the same ideas
