pretty good. 'domestic' -- there's a song on relentless by the same, curiously, that sounds nothing like the title track of this release -- is my favorite of their new ones, i think; great mix of dark ambient and spoken word. 'consenting adult' is also nice. normal was underwhelming to me. 'campaign 2024' is very visceral, clearly a homage to their earlier works, which is something that you'd naturally presume given it's title.

thanks for all the recs, I'll have to check them all out. It's quite impressive how productive they still are honestly, considering for how long they've been active. Also perhaps it's of interest to you, Ramleh has a new album coming out this year, artwork by Jukka Siikala too, looks very promising.

they've been more productive than ever, actually! -- even more, tomkins and taylor are now doing solo works as well. additionally, i was never too big on ramleh, but i might check this one out when time is due. love jukka siikala's art!

it's never too late ! I assume it's going to be noise rock, so not exactly my cup of tea either, but it's always to see such influential projects go on like that. Mundy's output under Kleistwahr is much more interesting to me than anything he's made with ramleh in the past decade though.

Good to hear. I am, though I haven't put out a new episode since August. Life's gotten in the way but I'll post a new one soon. Lemme know if there's anything you'd like to hear on an upcoming episode.

I got the demos and the sw split repress. The shipping for the demos was very cheap because all of them were US distros.

Do you know any power electronics that are droning and mesmerizing... if that makes sense?

Droning and mesmerizing... I think it's all very personal and what might be mesmerizing, calming, to me might not be to you. That being said, I think your best bet would be to explore Death Industrial, since it tends to be on the "heavier, doomier" side. Early Brighter Death Now for example, "Pain In Progress". Some of Atrax Morgue's works fit that pretty well too, "In Search of Death", "Collection In Formaldeide". "Magenta" by Anenzephalia fits that description as well. You might want to look into Nurse With Wound too, "Homotopy to Marie" and "Salt Marie Celeste", not "Power Electronics" per se, but always a good listen. I'd also recommend "Glorious New Regime", the live tape from ZSS and XE, especially the first track "White Riders".

You're sick. You like the same 80s and war and black metal. We should totally talk online.
