It's a shame I didn't try them earlier, mostly due to that BS bias against rap lots of rock fans tend to have. I didn't really give the genre a fair chance until Kanye West's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy", so now I'm exploring it. I'm actually planning on getting "The Low End Theory" by them soon, so that'll be my first intro to them beyond a random single or two. I wasn't aware you were into Tribe, cool! Also cool to see some M83 and Pixies in those scrobbles, pretty eclectic. (Oh, and unrelated, but I recommend getting the program Spotify, you can stream all sorts of stuff through it as well as scrobble through it, making listening via YouTube mostly pointless)

It's not music taste I'm criticizing, it's people who don't even have an idea about what they are listening, but oxymoronicly still keep saying they like "it" so much. How can you even like something you don't have an idea of? Maybe I'm taking music too seriously, maybe I'm so judgy but such a group as Interpol, which have deep, meaningful lyrics and great tunes, cannot have such ignorant fans. I merely want the fans to wise up about it. I can't just get the fact that they don't care about how they make music, what their lyrics literally mean or suchlike.

I am glad that you've made yourself clear, since there are many people who are totally ignorant about how Interpol make music, and blindly adoring something they don't even have an idea of. It is rather good to know that there are still those, like you, listening to Interpol, knowing what they are making, and how they are literally. =)
