I think most of your questions are to be found in the concept page [url=http://www.lastfm.de/user/C26000/journal/2006/07/30/383m_last.fm_extra_stats]here[/url] (see e.g. "Last.fm Extra Stats FAQ" + "Wave Graph Options Explained And More"). Well, the graph tells me: 1. you had long breaks in using lastfm 2. when you cam beack + started scrobbling you seemed to have preferred other artists than before

max. 60 plays is "harsh", but I assume pretty effective... I would easily fail this :-( As you say, I like also lastfm's great outreach. When I started my account here I also changed the music genre I listened to and lastfm was a great help to bring it from beginner level to my current state (THX to the team for all their work). I mostly use the webplayer from lastfm. 4 months ago I discovered spotify, but have been using less the last weeks. I find that I find more diversity with the webplayer (ok, I could queue all possible albums in spotify and have better diversity, but that's not the goal)

It's tempting to always play the same kind, so I always force myself to listen to other user's radios, so I break out of the musical monotony... Basically, when I don't have much time, I just play my "[url=http://lastfm.skilledtests.com/s.html]mix radio[/url]". Thus said: your 5k artists look promising, I'll queue your library for listening :-)
