scat is just the silly singing style and nothing else ! as for the album itself, i don't think it necessarily has any sussy lyrics but one song has exactly the same name as a military wing of an organisation associated with stepan bandera (there are still doubts about how much direct involvement he actually had with the uia, given he was in a german prison for most of the war. the uia emerged out of the banderite faction of oun, which bandera led. the separate military detachments were also pretty rabid at the time and did whatever they wanted, so he can be held responsible for what they did to some extent because of his position as the leader of the oun-b, without necessarily implying that he himself directed all the atrocities they did) he was also closely aligned with some of the other farright/fascist guys of that period so yeah.... it's a very complicated topic to discuss in general but yea it's fair to describe it as 'right wing' media

imo everything from jhva elohim meth to discouraged ones is like perfect. tonight’s decision and the last fair deal gone down are very very good, viva emptiness is decent, the great cold distance is great (haha). then night is the new day is is mostly good but then they start to lose me sadly. apart from the fall of hearts maybe but i haven’t listened to it much

yea everything after the great cold distance is like fine at most. almost like there's nothing special in those albums but maybe listening to 'better' albums just saturated my taste buds so they don't bring anything that special to the table. but yeah discouraged ones and last fair deal gone down are my favorite katatonia albums. the first two took a long time to grow on me so they aren't as close to me as some of the other ones but they are really good too
