Yea man, I am enjoying new to me rap. As far as females in rap, I never liked Lyte and associated more with the rappers I just didn't have a taste for. Plus I remember stuff like Da Brat coming out a dime a dozen in the 90s and looking corny next to the awesome rap back then. With rock and rap I guess I never progressed past the 90's much. I mean I listen to newer stuff but as far as my taste and what I love its all 20th century music. Good to try something new too though to stay out of a rut.

Thanks man, slowly dipping back into rap. Listened to Hopie and it's the first girl rap I have ever liked. Very good. Going to give the rest a whirl at work monday.

I feel ya on that. Lately I have been leaving rap alone though. The majority is very negative lyrics and it's getting to the point where I can't listen to an album without hearing misogyny and racism. I love People Under The Stairs and positive stuff like that but it's hard to find. Got anything you think I would like to listen to?
