Arthur Russell is terribly underrated, I'm glad he interests you! I would recommend the album Calling Out of Context. The track "That's Us/Wild Combination" really stands out to me on this record--it's honestly one of my favorite tracks ever.

yes i agree!! it completely exceeded my expectations, which were extremely high to begin with bc he's my favorite artist of all time ha. it honestly could be the greatest show i've ever been to. I have no idea how i survived blue bucket, oh my god. it was just.. indescribable. after the first set was over i just sat there and thought "what just happened" lol. i loved how he did renditions of almost all the songs on C&L and made them sound almost sort of age of adz-ish? or at least more electronic/beat-driven. man, it was incredible

Now that Fall is here and Winter is coming, folk sets the mood for me. I really recommend Joose Keskitalo, some songs of his are Nick Drake - esque and some ar moore groovy. Joose Keskitalo - Joose Keskitalo Ja Kolmas Maailmanpalo (2008) >folk; Finland. but good stuff not those stupid old men with moustaches called Iggsträm or Gugërstrorm who appear smiling in the aesthetically displeasant covers of their finnish albums >I strongly reccomend this album.
