oh, avantgarde is just an expression for bands being beyond their time. mostly they are hardly known in their period but 15 to 20 years later everyone claims them as their major influence. but I entitled Chickens Quiff and not the Boredoms as avantgarde ;-) every record sounds different but Super AE is a good introduction, cause its the most listenable of them all.
