Hm, not sure, this sounds like it was recorded in the actual studio, from what I remember the gig was in the basement of the building. There's a chance it all happened on the same day though.

have you heard laura marling's newest album? i'm giving it a first lesson now. it's different again, but it seems like a logical follow-up to her second album.

I didn't know William Orbit had "retired". That's actually good news, in this context. As long as Katie doesn't try to reach GaGa's, Ke$ha's or Katy Perry's producer - or, even worse, Timbaland - I guess it's all good. Cheers for the info, mate!

"The Flood". Well, I really like her new album, what saddens me is the stronger pop influence in its tracks (most of them, not all). If it was just an experiment, a one album affair, I'm fine with it. What troubles me is if she decides to go through that route instead of embracing her jazz/blues roots. "The House", as it is, is a very good Katie Melua album because her pop songs are still better than most pop crap currently playing on national radios. And yeah, we seem to share a fine taste in music :) High five, 'bro!

So, not Mumford & Sons... but have you heard Laura Marling's Devil's Spoke? I'm rather in love with it.

completely agreed. i will say, though, that i prefer the ep version of "white blank page".
