Ah, can't believe you are going to EOTR this year and it's first year in 6 that I won't be going. Don't miss Doug Paisley, I've seen him twice now and he's been ace both times.

Incredibly sad! Didn't know he was an addict - he's been prolific enough - although his frequent appearances often alone in London made me curious. Some of my fave songwriters are addicts it seems - Cass McCombs, Elliott Smith et al. Robert and Son House - totally different sound - I think Son House taught Robert Johnson no? Grouper I'm still hypemachinging so will listen to more - my ears are notorious to recommendations.

Hello there - that album has truly been keeping me going lately, it has not yet failed to make me grin. You can get it on Bandcamp http://jeffreylewis.bandcamp.com/album/come-on-board-10 - just look at that cover and try to resist! How're things? Was just talking about you today as a colleague is running a stall at a comic/zine fair thingy in London soon, did you get your stuff finished? Would love to see it! xx

ooh, sounds good (both dress and macaroons - I wish I hadn't dithered over getting some to take as a gift). Visit was lovely thank you, Jen's little boy is at a cool age where there's lots of pointing and naming of objects and if you don't push him fast enough in his pushchair he yells 'go go go!' like some mini action hero x x

I still need to pick up a copy of the new Lotus. Right now I'm pissed off that I can't find a decent video of Bananarama's 'Cruel Summer' on Youtube. I put it on more or less every 'summer' compilation tape I ever made.

Yes the Mssr and I are still on speaking terms. I rarely refer to him as Gilles as I once had an Irish nutjob of a girlfriend named Gill. So can I be a librarian now? I'm thinking about going back to Seattle in September...

hey lady, good weekend? Before I sleep was beautiful (although I nearly sat on an actor in a darkened room 2 minutes after entering which unsettled me somewhat) - it's been extended again I think so you might yet make it! Bought the Blood Red Shoes album today subconsciously based i think on your many plays...will be the soundtrack to my journey to work tomorrow xxx

my new desk looks out onto the beer garden of the bar next door...can't decide whether this makes a sunny friday afternoon at work easier to cope with or just a bit pouty... The before I sleep co-op thing has been extended into June if you fancy it- on all days except mon/tues...xx

I listened to Ten back then. It was overshadowed by Lard's 'Last Temptation of Reid', I think. Is that obnoxious or what?

GNG BNG isn't doing it for me and I'm very surprised that it does it for you. Huh. Man, you are so hard to predict. I've been browsing through your library and it just confuses me. You listen to Tapes n' Tapes' first album a lot, but not their second one -- not even once (even though it contains a great song: "The Dirty Dirty") and you listen to M. Ward and whatsherface, but not M. Ward on his own -- someone I thought you'd love. I'm not even going to mention that Kelly Clarkson song you keep listening to. Okay, I will mention it. I had a listen on iTunes and to be honest, I don't absolutely hate it -- though it only goes on for 30 seconds there. :)

I had to ...erm ... borrow GNG BNG. Found the album, 1983, on emusic and some other tracks on compilations there, but as usual emusic has a big gap . Listening now. This sounds more like the sort of thing I would like, than you would.

Wait a second, young lady. You were in diapers when I started listening to Felt (which is on our shared music list). And if you so much as think of replying with some joke about my advanced age and wearing diapers, I'll come over there and spank you. :)

What?! It says you and I are "very high"! If anyone's very high, it's a programmer at last.fm. Or have you been listening to a lot of Cursor Miner while I was gone? :)

Hmmm yeah, I used to blow all my wages before payday when I worked at The Left-Legged Pineapple. Where do you shop? I remember meeting you outside of Selectadisc before drinks last Spring. We should really do that again. Sweet new picture, Zoe!
