I'm checking that Greet Death album for the first time now - "You're Gonna Hate What You've Done" is something else.

Is it just me, or does that song feel like it could be a closer, despite being the 4th track on the album?

Initial thoughts on Rollercoaster? Album is quite possibly an all-time top 10'er for me

It's definitely great! First impression I don't think I like it quite as much as DCH or GOTGH but we shall see how it grows!

It's great though I like the first 3 songs on DCH better so far, the title track being my favorite. Idk why it's reading as my current top track, it says on my main page I've spun it 8 times this week but I've actually only scrobbled it 6 times. I've been getting ghost scrobbles on a lot of songs recently, it's weird.

This is making me think though, it's about time you heard Transatlanticism by DCFC - IIRC you rated another of their albums 2.5 so that's not promising but Trans remains a top 10 album for me - it is to me what TDAGARIM is to the SowingSeason crowd so I'm curious what you'd make of it.

TDAG in your most-played for this week... I'm sure you're even more surprised than I am! That was one of the most significant albums for me in my teen years, though my tastes changed and I found myself listening to it (and BN's discog as a whole) less and less as time passed. I don't even think I've listened to TDAG at all since at least a full month before the allegations surfaced. Maybe I should fix that...

Yeah man, I am indeed surprised myself. I was prompted to try it after coming across "Millstone" and "Jesus Christ" on YouTube and being immediately struck by them. Nothing else on the album has clicked with me quite as hard as those have but there's definitely plenty to enjoy (some of the emo-isms are still a bit much for me though).

When I first listened to it at the age of 13 I think the first six tracks initially struck me as one colossal wave of "holy f---". It took a couple listens for the back half to click with me, and a few more to pick favorite tracks. I eventually settled on "Archers," which would become an anthem for me all the way through my high school years. "Limousine" and "You Won't Know" are close, with "Millstone" and "Jesus Christ" probably rounding out my top 5.

Will also point out we were listening to Kaputt at the exact same time last night, although I was playing my vinyl copy. Freaky thing to hear Bay of Pigs and see you're scrobbling it at the same time. (Also, my anticipation of your ~critique~ of Highvision is building higher and higher up)

I have INTENSE nostalgia for Storywriter (being an avid viewer of Adult Swim during the aughts, I caught Eureka Seven during its airing in 2006/07 and that song was part of the soundtrack, so it was a pleasant surprise that the album was actually good and not full of throwaway alt rock. Plus, they're heralded as the japanese Radiohead so it HAS to be good.
