Hi, I usually visit all my lastfm-friends a bit closer to new year to check out what they have been listening during the last 12 months. And at the same time leave some tips on what I have discovered last year. But anyhow here I'm now.:D. Late in the year I found [artist]Caitlin Canty[/artist] thru Kickstarter. Other discoveries during the year was [artist]Lake Street Dive[/artist], [artist]Austin Lucas[/artist], [artist]Nora Jane Struthers & The Party Line[/artist] and [artist]Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors[/artist] A band I'm looking forward to see live is [artist]JP Harris & The Tough Choices[/artist] But I still come back to my old heroes [artist]Van Morrison[/artist] and [artist]Emmylou Harris[/artist]. Listened to almost all of their albums during 2014. Have a great 2015.

You know, I just tried that Mumford & Sons album. I used to only know Little Lion Man as "That Banjo Song" lol. But I liked that song so I took the plunge with Babel. Wish I could say i dug it but all the songs sounded too similar to me. =P Would you recommend I still give Sigh No More a chance?

I missed out on Streetlight Manifesto cause I was back at the acoustic Twin Atlantic session :( Tonight Alive were pretty good, I also liked I Fight Dragons and was happy to finally see Lostprophets since I loved them many years ago, but had to miss out on Yellowcard because of that :(

if it's your cup of tea, you can check them out on their bandcamp page: http://illeatyourface.bandcamp.com/ -- debut album is about 6 euros but their second album called Irritant is free. :)

Spotify is indeed a great addition - and it scrobbles nicely...PLUS, you can play all the stuff on your hard drive through it as "local files"...so because of that I find I'm scrobbling more throgh Spotify than anything else. Do you use Hype Machine too..also scrobbles...and even Universal Scrobbler comes in handy sometimes: http://universalscrobbler.invitationstation.org/

Mmhmm. I do love them so. It has been a while. Since we last spoke, I moved out of my parents house, started and finished John Dies at the End, broke my Xbox 360, and applied for a full-time job. I forgot all about the Rum Diary, tbh, but I'm getting accustomed to reading before bed, so I may start that up again.

In other news, I picked up a new book the other day. :O The Rum Diary by Hunter S. Thompson. Yeah, the one they're doing a movie of. I saw the commercial for the movie (not knowing it was based on a Thompson book) and thought to myself "that looks a lot like Fear and Loathing" but also that it looked good. I mean, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is my favorite movie of all time, so a movie just like it that also stars Johnny Depp can't be bad. I saw it on the racks when I was on break at work and noticed who the author was. I was pretty much sold right then and there. I started reading it that night, but I was hella tired and fell asleep. Then I was busy all day yesterday. Gonna get back in to it ASAP. I also intend to read John Dies at the End again this winter. They're also making that in to a movie. SO EXCITED.

For sure. I only got to see the 3rd quarter at Buffalo Wild Wings and highlights for the rest of the game on TV, but what I saw has given me a reason to *gasp* actually look forward to next Sunday. Sucks though, since I work that day and will have to DVR it. I also got an NFL app on my phone, but that's just numbers, man, and it's not the same.
