Well, I may as well take the liberty of recommending the albums All Hail West Texas, The Sunset Tree, and Martial Arts Weekend (which was released under the moniker The Extra Glenns). The latter might be my all-time favourite by John Darnielle. But have fun exploring their discography. =) Their next album, Transcendental Youth, is scheduled for release October 2nd this year!

Yup, I'm definitely a big fan of the Mountain Goats! =) Feel free to get in touch if you ever want any recommendations or such; their discography can be a bit daunting.

I guess so. However being able to have a compilation in the first place where both discs have their space filled out the very last second indicates a pretty good band run, doesn't it? :3 Always see the positive side first!

Oh wait, is it one of THOSE bands? :D (And a simple Best Of compilation was too boring for the band, btw. So they decided for going re-recording all the songs in question like Sparks did for "Plagiarism". :o )

By the way, thinking about it I kind of feel like a derp for discussing a bloody Sonic OST extensively in depth. XD Is THIS credibility? I ask??? :D

Wheee, yeah! That should be some nerdy fun! :D That way it could actually become something that I'd listen to in its entirety... because as it is now I'm afraid that in the end I'll be just picking out the cherries and stick with those and never hear/care about the rest. :( (The boss rush gets pretty dramatic after a while. lol But... ooooh, this White Space Medley-thing right now is really neat and a really neat idea! Exactly what I want and need! More of that please!)

Haha yeah, it could just as well be the game rip I've been previously listening to. :D Especially with those disembodied sound effects in between. They should have thrown the chronology obsessed aspie out of the mixing studio to get the songs into an order which make it more feel like an album... and something that is a little more fun to listen to. The order is just a bit too... archival. (I still DO like the music, though!)

Yeah, I'm now at the beginning of disc 3, I think. I just reached the challenge songs. *g* They could have mixed the tracks a little more for some variety and a better flow, though... like with the SA1-OST. Listening to it sometimes feels as if you're working off a list or something.

Most boring nightshift EVER. I really could use a granny right now. Never thought I'd ever say that... but now it happened.

It's a total drag! :( Like, they were so consistent, to me, their whole career. They were just good. It's sad that a good band has stopped making good music. Can only imagine how much it sucks for a long-time fan! :(

Oh hey, my first incursion onto the RPS forums and I find a Gentleman with "SUPER COMPATIBILITY". Had a nose at your blog and it seems a fun read.
