Listening Land of Blood and Sunshine - Into The Mystery, very funny pick in your blog, rough, certainly many smiles, very diversified, very cool work on sounds. The sound thud, rough and slightly brutal is quite great, I appreciate that even more because among 10's releases I haven't listen much stuff with that sound mood. I'll have to dig your blog in deep. :-) I tried listen a second time the Lasso, it's obviously quality stuff but not enough my genre, perhaps too close to country, not sure, but there's too many great stuff to listen that fit better my preferences so I'll skip it.

Thanks for the recommendations, on some of their songs they kinda remind me of early Blondie, especially the drummer.

No new selection this week? That says one per week is a bit an insane rhythm. :-) This week (or last week selection) is a very cool selection too for me. Those I prefer are the last 6 tracks of Rob Jo Star Band. The High Tide album which also made me discover their second album I like even more with its Heavy Psychedelic Folk quite inventive despite it's an unfinished album. Circle Spit which quite a surprise for me because it's not fully the kind of music I like, too much purely pop. But little details and something else made its listen a quite cool pleasure. Adamjmoore EP is quite in a kind of music I can enjoy. I feel the EP has an uneven quality, but overall it's very interesting. I already knew Jack of Heart, Broken Water and Golden Triangle, solid stuff for me but I haven't listen them that much yet and for now I feel these albums good stuff but not great for my tastes. One more cool selection thanks for this. :-)

I listened the Rob Jo Star Band LP, during first four tracks I was slightly horrified to not match the comments on internet and what I was listening. :-) But ok it's quite a curiosity and from track 5 to end it's cool stuff. Nice selection but a lot because it's quite a curiosity... ok and the last 5 tracks. :-) It lead me to Angel Face - Wild Odyssey with also quite a indie/punk hype around it. :-) The LP is much more coherent but not that amazing. :-)

Blue Cathedral is great too but Fields is their best and the more diversified in my opinion. I have listen a lot the first three albums in the past but not recently. I'm listening again Blue Cathedral but my remembering is some tracks are too long and can feel a bit repetitive. Worth a try anyway because it is quite different. And thanks for accepting in your group my "pathetic" comment about So Chocolate. :-) Just fan stuff badly written, ha well, perhaps there's a bit of passion in it that save the post. :-)

I just listened "Field Recordings From the Sun" with care about repetition. It isn't repetitive, each track is rather different to each other and each track moves quite a lot. Well nothing important that is sure, if you give this album one chance with one careful listening that's already very fair… but I'd suggest you not review it. :-P

If you listen 2nd LP of Comets On Fire and found it repetitive I can see various reasons… it's just mind game. :-) This album use a lot fake random or broken structures. This is a lot an Avant-Guarde approach but it's also very classical in Psychedelic, for example Pink Floyd used that. Sometimes in face of such apparent lack of structures the brain only catch series of elements meaning nothing and can't detect successive structures to compare them and see evolutions and changes. But it's a detection problem not real repetitive music. Another idea is there's multiple layers. I'm quite sure that there's constantly some elements that evolves and my brain focus on those elements or see it as a whole that evolves and then i don't feel it repetitive. At opposite your brain focus on the elements that don't evolve much and feel the whole as repetitive. A third idea is that there's elements that repeat and that I like so much that my brain can't see the repetition but only the pleasure.

Tracks of 1st album of Comets of Fire are somehow similar to each other and can generate a feeling of repetition. But you have tried "Field Recordings from the Sun" their second album or "Blue Cathedral" their third? And you find those repetitive too? Puffy Areolas album is quite great I'll try their 7".

I'm listening once more the LP of this week selection, "Puffy Areloas - In The Army 1981" woo it is still growing on me, great stuff. It remind me somehow the first Heavy Psychedelic LP of Comets On Fire, self titled which is a great Heavy Noisy Psychedelic LP but perhaps a little bit repetitive. In case you don't know this group yet (which is doubtful as you are clearly a psychedelic fan) you need check their first three albums, the fourth and last is more optional. In my opinion their second is their best. Puffy Areolas LP is more Heavy and less noisy than the first LP of Comets On Fire, it has also many garage elements through sounds, something there isn't in Comets On Fire. Anyway great pick of an album in my opinion a bit under-evaluated at its release.

It's the goal of blogs and selections but to avoid feel I only steal. :-) Among stuff I listen recently, not sure they are really good (not listen enough) but they seem interesting : TV Freaks - LP. Strange Hands - Dead Flowers. Actual Water - The Paisley Orchard. The Hussy - Weed Seizure. Glow Kit - Glow Kit (not really garage). Vincas - Blood Bleeds. And less obvious but listen it more could reveal good stuff, Rayon Beach - This Look Serious.

Wanted to say this on your blog was quite cool : http://craneangels.bandcamp.com/album/le-sylphide-de-brighton It's very rare I like pure pop album and here one. In case you don't know, not garage but another cool pop album, Race Horses - Goodbye Falkenberg. And when I was wandering through your selections in one label I saw this, not sure it's really good stuff I haven't listen it enough. But it's interesting psychedelic dream pop with a little bit of garage: http://bonvoyage.bandcamp.com/album/hunters-moon

Very cool selection this week. I already knew only the albums of the Men and Iceage. For The Men I prefer a lot their previous album but this one is solid. Iceage has an interesting originality, a good pick. Arzachel I didn't knew that oldie and I'm not used to acclaim oldies but woo great album. I need listen them more but first contact was quite interesting for the TRMRS and Eternal Tapestry albums. And Naked On The Vague seems a good album. The Alize and Sheep are classical I still need to listen. :-P Other are less my stuff but cool to discover anyway. Great week. :-)

I have listen Myelin Sheaths - Get On Your Nerves, it's great, just one listening but I bet I won't change my feeling. Yes it's more punk but also more noisy. I prefer the direction choose for Ketamines but I feel I'll find the album Get On Your Nerves even better. It was a bit difficult for American Haircut by Dead Luke, but the sound quality of the stream I used wasn't good and it didn't help. But it's an interesting pick anyway I'll listen it more. Thank you for the suggestions.

Still about the blog I listened the Midday Veil album I agree the second track is quite interesting but the two other I can't understand their purpose and will probably never. Have you listen some albums of Starving Weirdos? I have their 3/4 first albums plus the last two. It's also experimental but if you don't know them you should try at least among their first albums and perhaps the last which has a different approach less experimental.

I just quoted to right the cover of "Panda Kid - Scary Monster Juice". In fact it's not exactly the same cover I got with the digital version but close enough to identify it. It's an album I like a lot, currently it is in my 2011 top ten (that evolves constantly). I like a lot the style but more importantly I like a lot the care and creativity they put in using different sounds that are very cool/fun, and the care they put in playing with sounds, not only melodies and rhythms. Among the 3 albums you suggested me, this point is less put in front of the music but there's a real care in this too in the quite cool album of MMOSS. I'd wish they took a bit more distances with 70's but anyway it's a very cool album, very interesting. I need listen it more to pinpoint better its music. I have read they will release soon a new album that's very cool and it was the time as I quoted that "i" is from 2010 unlike mentioned in Bandcamp.

About the blog "Ketamines - Spaced Out" is a very very nice selection, a very fun album. The tag they put on Bandcamp don't appeal me much but the album does. And I wanted highlight that with few words like one or two sentences for each selection, it's a lot better than without any comments. :-)
