The new albums are fucking bullshit but I'd have to put Heavy Rocks II over the rest and then I'd go down the line with Attention Please and then New Album. I can't really consider one of them a best since they were all mediocre as fuck. If anything, I nominate their collab with Merzbow for their best album this year.

I think Blessphemy and we are the lazer viking and eat lightning shit thunder are extremely awesome albums and the family album is preety frickin sweet too. they are the only band that had crazy fast songs, kooky keyboards and great intensity that i saw in The Locust, which I have sorta a thing for haha

A few told me that the album was better than Deafheaven's but I totally had to disagree. But to be honest, I'd give the band a 6 out of 10. I don't mind them at all but they're nothing new. As for the new album, I have not yet listened to it (only a few tracks).

I first picked up lost and found back in high school, but l.d. 50 is what put mudvayne in my top artists. They are also why I switched from guitar to bass as my primary instrument for a year.

I agree about Adebisi Shank. I loved their first album, and the second one is pretty great too but yeah. I know what you mean. And yes - Ireland... so weird, but kind of cool. BATS is another Irish band I'm partial to, though they're like some hardcore/math hybrid. Not sure if you've listened but it might be worth looking into. Any other Irish math bands you could recommend?

The only two I've listened to are Jane Doe and Axe to Fall. Both of them are great and it's hard to say which one I like more. Wretched World is probably my favorite song by them though.

It was back in 07. Around the time they released The Fiance. It was a good show. They played with Norma Jean and Scoggins did guest vocals on Memphis. If you get a chance, you should see them.

Eh, not a lot of stuff comes through Tulsa. Every Time I Die, Fair to Midland, The Chariot, Norma Jean, Emery and a few others. I'm usually too broke to go to Dallas when something good comes up there.
