Stars is mostly serene indie rock that that can get to you in all the right places. I'd strongly recommend Set Yourself On Fire as a starting point.

Beach House but that's the obvious. Widowspeak, some Tamaryn (quite shoegazey though), Club 8, Mazzy Star... There's such a thin line between shoegaze and dream pop in a way. I could recommend a bunch of shoegaze bands now haha
