First of all, what part of Germany are you from? Also, I was wondering what time it is over there right now. Here it is 11:25 AM. I took two years of German in high school. I can only speak basic sentences and can count. Oh, i also know the alphabet. What a fascinating country. I always wanted to Oktoberfest. Ever been to it? As far as the get up kids go i really only ever got into On a wire and Four Minute mile. I only liked those albums. As for what it's like to listen to music in america? well, for me i feel that i listen to good music. A lot of americans listen to crappy music and are kind of spoiled i guess. Me being an American and all it's hard for me to step outside the box and look at our culture. It's really all i know. I have only been to Canada. They're different from Americans for sure. I don't know. I dunno, most people i meet don't really listen to all the Indie and eclectic taste that i have, but i'm not really a mainstream listener.

No, I don't speak German, but my wife is studying it. I found his first English album at a record store for very cheap, used to listen to it when I studied. Rediscovered him recently after she'd rented Das Boot. Cheesy stuff, but I love his voice.
