That's great! But message boards given the right members do that. When I started going to music forums I listened to oldies, post-grunge and pop-rock tunes. Several years later and my progress is clear! But it's lovely that you are going to look into the Pixies, I highly suggest Trompe le Monde as a starting point and Doolittle as a secondary starting point. Though I love all their records.
