So lucky - congratulations! Unfortunately money and uni exams in jan will prevent me from going to any of the others x

Yeah i went to Newport and Bristol too! That's pretty good actually, well not the fact they got canceled in the first place, but that you've still got something to look forward to! Tried to win tickets for this thing in Blackwood but no luck x

Thanks, you too! I'm guessing you went to see the Manics at some point on the tour that's just been? x

Woooow, impressive roster of tour dates there! You'd probably get away with claiming to be one of the band! Aye, I should be at the Leicester date - with British Sea Power in support, it's going to be sensational! :D Seeing Jimmy this time round?

Are you seeing the Manics in Leicester then? Did a bit of a double-take when your name came up on the events page, wondered why you seemed familiar but then I remembered you were also at their Llandudno gig last year!

Oh I do post occasionally but I'm a dyed-in-the-wool lurker, ha ha. (The Richey thread is great. xD) Anyway, I hope you had a nice day. (Even though I'm not sure at all about the time of day over there.)

I do apologise, I took rather a long while to get back to you... I'm rather poorly organised and forgot to write back. I live to fall asleep is a very nice song, I want to say pritty, but I'll come across as mad... I haven't listened to much manics lately, really should. But I'm coming to love the Lightning seeds a bit too much

Hello, yes it has been a rather long time. I always loved lifeblood, and I Live to Fall Asleep is one of the best songs ever. Although I rather like Little Baby Nothing, at the moment...

London trip - with college, basically we go to london, look round some galleries (Saatchi gallery please so that I can see Jenny Saville paintings =D) go to a UCAS fair (Scary stuff =S) and then get drunk and go out in london before coming back the next day =D Am looking forward to it! haha yeah you're probably right!! and yes they should play it, have they played any gigs yet? we could try and see what their setlist is then - is there a noisettes forum for these things? =S Awww, it sounds lovely although I do hate it when that happens because you're unhappy for days after because you'd rather be there instead =[ Of course hehe! you can take me on a little tour! Goodgood, meet you there at around quarter to or 10 to so that we have time to buy tickets and such. Can't wait!! =D

=P I was contemplating doing my hair before then but methinks that I'll probably leave it before the London trip. OMFG me to!!! I'll be paying you on the day then if that's alright! YesYes definately some heckling for some old stuff - they should play it to be honest because I think everyone who is hardcore Noisettes fan will want to hear it anyway and that was one of their most well known song from that album so I think it's possible that it'll be on their set list anyways B] OMFG are we going to be CoR on thursday? B] nice! I'm just really excited because I also get to go to cardiff which is something I never thought I'd do for months since I got all busy =/ But no, It's happened =D=D I know, that was strangely pleasing to find out after hearing about the awful times that have been put on for saturdays =S yayayayayyayayayayayayay *happiness flails* what time should we travel up? shall we get the 10 train? we won't get in much before 12 but that's still plenty of time =D

I spy Kelly in her place of work! =D Your hair got loooong. Any way, how are you, ready for the Noisettes next week? =D=D=D As it happens by some weird and wonderful coincidence, I have an inset day on the thursday which doesn't have to mean the last minute rushing to the train station to get up to cardiff on time anymore so we could make a day of it if you wanted to? I also checked up on the train times home (you might want to double check on this and not go on my word!!) and it said the last one was at 11:15 and it gets into carmarthen at around 1:30 in the morning with no stops apparently, but we should probably check that when we get there to! Anyways, enjoy work =] Baibai

They are in my top, they're 9th just above Anti-Flag and FFAF. Which you can't really say is bad considering I'm not obsessed like you -_-

=P It's like that conversation we were having yesterday about Nicky or Richey!! No, I think THB is better than GT, lyrically, but then I think I prefer JFPL over THB, lyrically. I think it's because, like you said, it's on a level where I can understand where it's coming from, whereas songs from THB have the same pace as GT in terms of trying to get everything he wanted to say out, but it's more personal - he wrote it so that hopefully HE could perhaps understand what was going on up there as opposed to writing it to let everyone know about his problems. JFPL sounds calmer and a lot more poetic I think

Yeah, but they are fantastic songs though, as you failed to mention Gold Against The Soul, Nostalgic Pushhead and Symphony of Tourettes (so-so) Overall I just think Generation Terrorists is a better album, more fast paced like they had a lot to say and not enough time to say it in - sure when the songs get bad, they really are bad (Damn Dog >_<), but I think there have been more off Generation Terrorists that have survived the years than there have been from GATS

It will be fine honestly!! This is my first job to and I thought they'd look for someone with a bit more experience, but it turned out alright! You just have to keep repeating to them that you want this job for working experience and that you'll learn whatever it is they want you to do - previous working experience or not, it would still be different to any other job you'd have worked so everyone who got a job there would have to learn how to do things anyway! haha! Umm, please don't literally bomb waterstones - I love shopping in there =P

Yeah, I ran out of characters in the last post!! *continues* Just basically focus on your interest because you'll find it easier to talk about them in the interview and you'll probably want to start thinking of examples of various things you've done like they might ask you 'When have you had to deal with a difficult situation, how did you overcome it?' and 'When have you had to use your own initiative?' or 'what motivates you?' Stuff like that perhaps - I'm only using these as exmples because that's what they asked me! But it is really is heaps better if you already have an answer ready =P And trust me on the googling of waterstones interview questions!!
Actions

ktlo90
=D!! yay!! Right well First things first, fill out your CV - anything that you feel you can talk about a lot and sound interested in is perfect (In other words, I had to take a lot of stuff out of mine because I either didn't do it it anymore or had no interest in it so it would have been awkward if I left it in and they picked up on it!) Next, you google waterstones interview questions, they will come up! I did it and it helped me think of answers beforehand so that there was less "UMMMMMMMMM........ >_<" in the interview =P! At the end, you could ask them things like 'What does the job involve?' or anything about the uniform required if they haven't already mentioned it! *thinks*...... errrr..... just avoid asking them about holidays, pay and discount basically!! You won't be aweful!!! Trust me, if you can form a non-fragmented coherent setence then you've already done better than I did!! Hah!

Yeah just one reference! There wasn't really anybody else I could include as a reference! And online sounds like a good idea - I suppose you can get a lot of application forms in a short space of time from doing it online! Saves you ambling around town in the rain when you might not even find much =\ I've tried a few places online for applications - some are good for that sort of thing, others aren't (Marks and Spencers ¬_¬) I don't think shops are even open tomorrow anyway! I'm surprised really - usually I go out for bank holiday, this time I completely forgot about it =\ !! Are you going to Rahcel's goodbye do on Saturday? =[ Wow that sounds so sad!
