I just want to make sure you know that even after what feels like a long ass time: I still love you.

Shame she got stuck in the middle of that. I just assumed your friend got hauled in for drunken behaviour of an amusing nature. Rocking out too hard, perhaps. // I am not for a corporate state, I am against the state and no one thing in particular has set me down that path. I've been perusing the books freely available on www.mises.org, some of which are the tomes of great Austrian school economists like Mises and Rothbard. I probably don't read enough of them to spout off opinions though. I am reading (properly) a book called "Intellectuals and Society" by a fellow named Thomas Sowell. For laymen like me he's a great read and covers a broad number of subjects in his books, most of which have equally unexciting titles like "Race and Culture," "Economic Facts and Fallacies." The guy writes like a laser pointer and every sentence is of paramount significance, he's a no pussyfooting around kinda writer.

A half year is pretty optimistic. It was december before they actually got started. In the meantime, I've been working hard, seen a few shows and watched a shit load of movies over the holidays. How about you?

Sure do. The prime minister is Elio Di Rupo. Twice a first: the first immigrant to become prime minister and the first homosexual to achieve this post. At least if no past prime minister got stuck in the closet. ;-)

So how about you: if you could punch anyone in the world, living or dead in the balls who would it be?

The ref at yesterday's football game. ;-) I couldn't give you a name straight away, but there's a lot of choice: child molesters, terrorists, stock exchange folk,...

The saint in question wasn't human? Maybe I could buy both those bony things and combine them in order to make a club :P In all honesty I'm not fully aware of all the options in forestry engineering. Ask me again on that after the first year and I'll hopefully be able to a give you a better answer.

Sadly, no. But I can tell you you that while the official discography might be pretty small, there should be an abundance in bootlegs and some boxes since his wiki-page claims he recorded every one of his shows.

Probably not, but it's a good way of keeping tabs of all the interesting events coming up.

None, I'm afraid. I did find a nice place however with a very nice selection of Belgian and international beers.

I've had some days off in the summer, mostly due to weather. No real holiday, which is somewhat annoying. I'll start studying to become a forestry engineer next month, hopefully it's just the thing I've been looking for. You still own boss and all? Do you have any skulls for sale?

Kessel is easy to explain: it's a relatively new local beer I stumbled upon in my local sports bar. I found the band on a website called Strummerville: http://www.strummerville.com/

On the other hand, you have something to look forward to. Not much beer in the past few days. Had a Duvel and a Leffe on tuesday, though. But I should make a note of going to the supermarket for beer this weekend. Maybe score some Kessel. I did find some music on the other hand: http://www.last.fm/music/General+Tornado+and+the+Unicorn+Platoon

Afraid not. Mostly recuperating and cleaning the place up. And catching up on music and sleep. How about you? Any vacation ahead?

With a dose of delay as well - Netflix, huh? Pretty interesting concept. How user friendly si ti? I understand it's coming to Holland soon, so fingers crossed for Belgium. No federal government as of yet, but the regional governments and the running affairs one are doing their job so far. Other than that, all is well, just busy as hell. But two weeks of vacation (and recupration) coming up. Phew. Found any good shows on netflix so far?

Life has been treating me about as well as it always has. I'm not even all that busy so I should be posting in AGWIAFPADTI but have instead trying to be working on some terrible, awful writing exercises I've given myself. I don't lead a particularly interesting existence. How's it been to you?

I'd want something like your first example. I don't need anything as authentic as an actual bar top. I don't do that much entertaining to warrant that. And, since it's going to be upstairs, I don't want to have to install/carry it up there. Being upstairs also limits the gay rape that will occur up there.

The Hz rating you mean? Mine is only 60 Hz, but I don't notice much of a difference between higher models. I'm very pleased with it so far. I had an inhaler before, it didn't work. I was also just given Pregnozone(sp?) because the urgent care lady who diagnosed me 2 fridays ago said it was allergies. Needless to say, it did not help and she had to give me a z-pack and that cleared things up immediately. I would like to get it diagnosed again by my actual doctor next time I'm sick. Hopefully he can tell me what is wrong for sure.

It's just my annual chronic bronchitis. If I get any kind of minor cold or something, it goes straight to my lungs and causes all kinds of lovely colors of discharge. You'd also think I smoked 10 cigars a day by my cough. The poker table I had. It's a real table, not a table top with felt. It's pretty decent and has a cover for it that gives it the impression that it's a regular table. The cover can also be flipped over to be used for blackjack. What I did get was a new 42" 1080p tv with mounting stand, some leather(fake) couches, shelves, a leather recliner and some wall decorations. The next major thing will be a good surround sound system. I'd like to mount in the ceiling, but it's a vaulted ceiling and the way it's set up, one set of speakers will be higher than the other. Would also like a dry-bar, but that's a loooong ways away.

Yes, I actually put my face on the glass of my flatbed scanner and closed my eyes as it read me : ) Then I did all the tweaking in photoshop. And I actually did all of my sidebar too : ) I'm glad that you appreciate it. And might I add that it is good to have a fellow REAL person joining us in the endangered Sound of Decay! Welcoum.

Hey Sam, what's up? I was reminded of you by an article in the local paper about local Leuven and Brussels beers. Mentioned a few names I had never heard of. Hence, time to investigate.

A lot of good questions that I cannot provide with a sensible answer right away. I'm sure there are a few abbeys around (Grimbergen and Hoegaarden for one), but I cannot tell you a lot about them. Back where I grew up, there's the Ter Doolen brewery, that's pretty good too. I guess we're spoiled in a way. A lot of people content themselves with drinking the popular ales like Stella and Jupiler and don't really bother looking that far beyond. On that note: living bang in the middle of "the Stella heartland", the notion that people see it as a luxury beer has more than a bit of a WTF?!-feeling to it. So we do enjoy those beers locally and you'll certainly find people who know their fair share about beer, but it's an exaduration to claim beer connaisseurs are a dime a dozen. I really should pop over to de blauwe kater some more.

not yet ) - it is sitting in the downloader but i guess it will be a while ... too much on my plate right now. i am looking for a movie - i do not know the name - may be you could help? - it is about some teenagers who go to a beach for a weekend and can't get out of there, they find a cabin with some dead bodies or something creepy, they seem to go in circles thru out the movie until in the end they see their parents come to the beach looking for them, but soon they realize they do not hear/see them no matter how loud they shout - realize they are already dead and then they see the man who killed them - sounds very much like a King movie, but not sure - i saw it only partially and never knew the name
