good to hear this response from you as well! gusanos is so damn awesome, thank you for the kind words!! if you want stuff like them a few bands id recommend would be "hopeless raven", "arrastrandose", and "naiad". all very cool melodic metalcore/screamo stuff from japan. i'd also recommend "hopesfall" and "shai hulud" as just really cool metalcore bands. listen to whichever ones sound interesting to you, i wouldn't mind some recommendations back from you if you have any as well!

naiad was awesome you might have got me back into hardcoe. damn. hardcore emotion might become a classic i remember now i have to listen to other languages sometimes japanese put me off cus the sound is too well producd or something cant explain. too precise. im glad you liked naiad! they're seriously staples of the genre in japan, gusanos was heavily inspired by them. fantastic EP hardcore emotion is. i kind of get that sentiment too but i like listening to stuff all across the globe, it's good for variety and gives perspective of different cultures, like i listened to a french screamo album a bit ago and was shocked on how french sounded so interesting with screamed vocals. i listened to Колхида and i think it's really fucking awesome!! great soundscapes, i'll be repeating this one for sure, thank you for the rec dude!

as of late ive been into stuff like old-school melodic metalcore that includes bands like fordirelifesake, misery signals, endzweck, gusanos, naiad and shai hulud. but that stuff isn't for everyone, so some more widely appealing stuff i'd recommend are the wonder years, nightingale, abandoned pools, incubus, and hopesfall (a types and after). happy listening!!
