The first Krieg album I heard was Rise of the Imperial Hordes. Coronation and Path of Soth were stand-out track for me right off. That said, I would recommend The Black House for people to start with, then have them check out albums from Krieg's more chaotic past.

Actually, I live in Oregon, and when bands play in this state, its almost always in Portland (oregon's largest city, by far), which is about 7 hours from where I live. So, no rest for the wicked, I guess. ;)

maybe Sudentaival? but I can't tell for sure. sometimes it's Kohti YhdeksдN Nousua or Envaatnags Eflos Solf Esgantaavne.... my favorite SW is Black Metal Commando, but I can't be so sure with Horna.

hm.... not quite true. there are some great bands (Old Wainds, BlackDeath, Nav', to name a few), but poserscene scum prevails, as, by the way, almost everywhere.

Well absinth is no longer forbidden in France, so we have a Absinth bar in paris. i love this bar :)

Yes, we have fabulous storms in the spring and summer. We even had lightening and thunder with snow this year, but that doesn't happen very often.

Thanks, i have to say, I also like my humor. In fact I think you bulgarians do not deserve redemption, it's just given to you. Us, froggies need to work on it to become alchoolic. And be rich. Btw, i love absinth especially black one (in France could we only find Green one...). On the other hand, here is really easy to become a junky, so maybe our path to absolution is made of pot! X)

I live in Moline Illinois. It’s around three hours from Chicago, if you don’t hit any traffic. I am right on the border of Iowa. In fact I live in Illinois, but work in Iowa.

Well, I must admit I don't listen to that many American bands. I do love Goatwhore’s Funeral Dirge for a Rotting Sun. I also listen to Judas Iscariot, Absu, and Typhus. Typhus has the most delightfully blasphemous lyrics. Sadly, I usually discover American bands because someone from another country has recommended them. We don’t have a black metal scene of any sort where I live.

Hell, I enjoy most of their albums, both the BM and the newer stuff.
