August 2008, according to my records. Very jealous you're in Brooklyn--there are things to do there! I'm in Terre Haute, Indiana. Had to leave California to find myself after I graduated, or something like that, travel these United States. Grew up in a depressing place, went to school in a depressing place, now I transplanted myself in a depressing place. But, I've been having fun, actually. Moving to Texas at the end of next month, outside of Austin, so hopefully it's okay there. So, I won't be going to Coachella. I went last year! I waited all day to be at the front for Thom Yorke--totally worth it. I've never been to England, but I did study in Berlin for a semester. You'll have to travel around Europe as much as you can; Berlin and Prague you have to experience. I didn't give a shit about Germany until I step foot in Berlin.

Wow! I haven't visited last.fm in a while. Deed's done on Facebook. When's the last time we talked? Like two years ago? Man... I'll check out your recommendations. I've been a little out of the loop with new emerging acts. I've liked Zola Jesus, you'll want to check out her Stridulum EP. I also noticed you don't have any Parenthetical Girls plays. I'd definitely check out the Privilege Part 2 EP or their album Safe as Houses. Should catch up sometime. Last time we talked, you weren't in college yet. How's that going?

hey there, thanks! We've got super compatibility, so the same can be said for you. :) Cut Copy are okay, I'm not their biggest fan but they have some awesomely catchy tracks. I'd definitely recommend giving In Ghost Colours a listen to. Otherwise, similar stuff in that electro vein would be Fujiya & Miyagi (album: Transparent Things) or Blonde Redhead (album: 23). Any suggestions for me?

Hey! Sorry it took me so long to answer wall posts. You're right about the new Mars Volta, it is just decent. Haven't really mustered up the gumption to get though the second half though. Shouldn't really judge it so much after only half. You know, Jeans Lerkman is a little too poppy for me, but I'll give it a second listen, never actually heard a whole album, which is usually what does it for me. I've heard Why? and that's good stuff, but it's never really gone through too heavy a rotation. Recommendations though...have you heard Discovery yet? The RaRaRiot/Vampire Weekend side project. It's white guys doing R&B, and I kind of like it. Also: Dirty Projector's Bitte Orca is a must, as is Sunset Rubdown's Dragonslayer, and Grizzly Bear's Vekatimest; the three of those being my top three of the year so far. Another pretty amazing album is The Antler's Hospice. I've been alright, last year of my undergraduate education, could tell you more but I'm running out of characters! You?

So should Soulja Boy, but it doesn't stop me from dancing to his music. I don't even feel guilty.

happy new year to you too! I have lots of recommendations. You should check out Jaga Jazzist. And Stars of the Lid (even though it seems you've heard them a few times). They're like my two favorites right now I think... is there anything glaringly missing from my charts? whereabouts in the US are you anyway?

Download the new Jenny Lewis album if you don't already have it. It's amazing. It's called Acid Tongue and I think you'd like that one song, acid tongue...

Well, you seem to have the vast majority of the bases covered. But I don't see any Chemical Brothers on your charts. If you're into that electronic, then try some of their stuff (pre-Push The Button).

You know, I haven't listened to Handsome Furs as much as I should. Your blessing has motivated me to go back to them for another round. I don't pay attention to the last.fm tags; most of the time, they make me sad. So many things can go wrong that I may or may not end up seeing either band. The whole German language block makes things difficult, but yeah, hopefully I will see them and it will be awesome. The Turtle is in the inbox, waiting for takeoff. This was my first go with [spam] so tell me if something goes awry.

Ha! I guess time zones aren't agreeing with us, because while it's true that I haven't been online for the past few weeks, I have been since you wrote on my wall and I haven't seen you. I'm curious about what you have to show me. By the way, I'm very jealous about the concert; it's going to be like listening to a sonic form of ambrosia.
