Everything you say to me is surprising >_> I don't recall the first thing, but YAY that's excellent, he's seriously amazing... He inspires me to be that dedicated to something ;__; That sounds so incredibly cheesy hahah. I'm tired. How's school? Are you out? Finals left?

Oh wow and 5 shows are cancelled now :( That's so sad, and incredible that he still got up and performed like he did... Wow...

Oh my gosh I had no idea :( About any of that... I'm so utterly oblivious.... But that's cool, your mom actually sounds pretty cool then hahah. When I was with my mum at PT she said they were showing their "primitiveness" by using smog machines... I was like wtf? And she kept saying stuff like that, I started ignoring her and she eventually left and sat outside >_> I felt really bad about it but she basically ruined my night (she knew how excited I was to go, I'd be talking about it for ~8months straight).. blaaah. But cool! I didn't even know there was a top floor haha, and tall people kept standing in front of me >:( I stood up on the railing though!

Hahahahha when he put his shirt over his face and was waving his arms around my sister and her boyfriend were like WHAT! x) It was brilliant though. I'd never heard of Anathema before but I really enjoyed them tooo (thanks for reminding me of the name!) And quoi? You could go up to him? Vraiment? :O We left pretty quickly since my sis had a 6 am flight the next morning... Damn... HAhaha the venue we weren't sure about either, we got there and the line was all the way around the building so we just wandered around for 45 mins then went... no it was wonderful though! I was at the very very back on the bottom floor sitting on the railing because of how late we were, where'd you end up?

Hahah I don't actually think it'd make a difference to him if it were Hilary Duff or like... Cradle of Filth. I guess it's just that we don't know that area of Montreal very well... I have a bunch of other sisters though, maybe one of them is free x) Soo are you in grade... 11? 12?

Same to you :3 which is why I shoutboxeded you... I.. uh, this probably sounds really sketchy and stuff, but I see you're going to see Blackfield on May 23? I REALLY want to go (I'm in Montreal for a wedding) but my dad won't let me go alone.. and since, you're, uh, a female who appears to be my age, I was thinking maybe I could pretend to know you? It's a lot/a weird thing to ask I guess and I'm sorry if it's creepy... but... I REAAALLLY wanna go :(

Mmh, yeah, saw them last year when they just kicked off their The Incident tour. They played Trains as well, which granted, is probably one of my favourites. I know it's one of their typical most popular songs, but I can't help myself =p. Other standouts were the second half of Russia on ice which was amazing. And if memory serves me right, they played the second part of Anasthetize (my favourite part), with images from Voyage 34 flashing on the screen..very drug-induced =o. Also loved The sound of Muzak (In Absentia was my first PT album..). I thought it was especially amusing how Steven switched guitars like, 9 times. Probably my favourite show from last year.

So, was Porcupine Tree any good? (dare I ask?) Which encores did they play? =)

Riverside, excellent choice! Seeing them live next week for the second time. It's going to be sweeet. :d

All my designs simplified.. Mikael from Opeth plays on that song =]. Speaking of which, I think you should go with Damnation. The fact aside that it has no death metal growls (making it appeal to a larger audience), it's just extremely intensely beautiful, the lyrics and music aside. Plus, it was produced by Steven Wilson (and he does backing vocals). I think you'd like it.

How are you liking Stupid Dream? I'm liking it for it's poppy dreaminess (even though it feels a lot softer than later stuff). Especially the title track. The squealy guitar is sweet. And join the dark side! Yay Opeth! What are you considering by them? I'm flying into London next week to see them, can't wait =d

I think I've been a bit conservative about expanding beyond Porcupine Tree, but we'll see. And about FOABP, I know exactly what you mean. I always figured that state people are in would pass as they grew up, but that's not exactly true. At least in my experience. If you like short stories, you should check this out: An occurrence at Owl Creek bridge, that is, if you haven't heard of it (or can't be bothered =p)

Man, that IS tough. I like In Absentia but it seems to be lacking in the second half of the album. I also love the concept of Deadwing, and the fact Mikael from Opeth sings/plays on it, me being a HUGE Opeth fan clearly =p. I still think I'd pick Lightbulb Sun though, because it (especially the title track) invokes a lot of emotion. And Last chance to evacuate planet Earth is just intriguing. I also like FOABP (well duh, it IS Porcupine Tree =p), but more for it's musical part than it's depth. It seems a bit heavier and more metally, and I really like metal. The Incident I haven't listened as much to as the others, but I plan on doing just that. Have you listened to Blackfield?

If you had to pick one, which would you pick? Lightbulb Sun, In Absentia or Deadwing?
