I'm good, hope the same for you! To start with, - For more raw stuff, Mayhem (the song Freezing Moon, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas), Immortal (Pure Holocaust, Sons of Northern Darkness for more thrashy stuff), Drudkh (Autumn Aurora), Weakling (Dead as Dreams) - For modern post-black metal/blackgaze, Deafheaven (probably already listened to Sunbather, but if you haven't, you have to, then New Bermuda), Amesoeurs (Faiblesse Des Sens demo), Alcest (Kodama, the song Sapphire) - For melodic stuff, Dissection (Storm of the Light's Bane), Windir (Arntor) , Misþyrming (Algleymi) - For atmospheric stuff, Altar of Plagues (Teethed Glory And Injury), Panopticon (Roads to the North), Spectral Lore (III), Falls of Rauros (The Light That Dwells in Rotten Wood) - For progressive/avant-garde stuff, Enslaved (the song Havenless, Axioma Ethica Odini), Cormorant (Diaspora), Sigh (Imaginary Sonicscape is more psychedelic, Hangman's Hymn more symphonic/thrashy), Liturgy (the song Quetzalcoatl, HAQQ)

Thanks broski. It’s cuz most of my listens over the years have mostly been indie, experimental, lo-fi, folk and blues and alternative. It’s been so long since I last touched metal since Deafheaven. I mostly prefer sticking to hardcore. Recently; some friends of mine asked me to play with their black metal project, despite my indie folk and blues background and considered it to be complimentary to their project, considering I always played indie. I never saw myself playing metal ever. What I was influenced by them lately were a lot of foreign artists; such as Peste Noire, Heretoire and other artists from different countries and nationalities. I wanted to go past Cynic, Swans and those other artists HellKorn and Swampy recommended back in SPP eons ago. Essentially; a lot of what I added to their sound so far that has been very complimentary has been Velvet Underground’s “White Light, White Heat.” You can tell how completely partial I am to that being one of my favorite records ever lol.

Hey, Just saw your list of albums and It is really nice seeing DIR EN GREY among all those amazing metal bands. You really should check their other recent albums as well. "UROBOROS" is considered their best by many fans. Make sure you get the REMASTERED version that just came out today.

Yo. Have you heard of Legion of the Damned? They used to be called Occult. They're a death-thrash band that you might want to check out. They're pretty underground, too.
