TBH I never really was into cities much except fin. It's one of those albums I heard when I wasn't into music as much that I'm sure I'd absolutely love now. definitely planning on going back trough their stuff because I'm really digging vital. It's at a strong 4 for me too. But come on, so-so year?? Haha I'm loving 2012.

Yeah Melbourne is a cool city (though very expensive!). Soundwave was good, mostly hung around stage 4a/b and 1a/1b. Got to say, you Aussies are pretty tame at festivals, didn't have many bumps or bruises at all from the mosh pits.

I be HBFS on sputnik

well i didnt have high hopes with the weather... but it was all good in the end. no rain at all, and a good day of tunes. deerhunter, warpaint and the antlers were the highlights, all killed it. holy fuck were pretty good too, i was impressed with their performance. didnt see foals because they clashed with deerhunter, but i heard they were fantastic. oh and the only bad thing was the sound guys on each stage were pretty bad, but beach house copped the worst of it. bad mix for them and i think they didnt really suit the large venue... but it was a great day! so whens that foals gig?
