Hey dude, haven't seen you for a while. I heard that you started university, which is pretty cool since I just started around two months ago as well. How is university working out for you? If I'm not mistaken, you live in England, correct? It is such a wonderful place--it has so many great universities and a lot of my friends study there. They say they are loving their respective schools and having a great time; hope you are too!

Hi again! Sorry for the late response. I spent the last few days cleaning up whatever mess there still is left, but now I feel so much better. The beautiful weather recently certainly helped, though I do hope that a lot of it is due to me doing a good job getting my shit back together. Things still aren't 100% right, and I can feel this certain hollowness, but all in all, things are looking OK. Regardless, thank you so much for your black metal recs. I know I didn't scrobble them, but I listened to some Sargeist recently and really like them. I'd certainly give other Finnish BM a run. Furthermore, thanks for reminding me how good Vinterland is. I know them, but don't listen to them routinely. I think I should. Same with Thulcandra: I know their first album, but now I need to try out their others as well. I have yet to listen to Kriegsmaschine, but I will once I'm in the mood for black metal again. Overall, thank you! I have no idea how I'd survive musically without your help : )

Just gave a song off that Caedes Cruenta album a listen. Sounds like some tasty Greek BM to me! Need to give the whole thing a listen. If you dig the Greek BM sound, Ithaqua's new demo is pure Rotting Christ worship. And yes, new Archgoat is indeed good. I'm most looking forward to Divine Blasphemy's debut full length, Genocide Shrines' debut full length, Lustration's (Australian one) 2nd album, Mefitic's debut full length, and anything new from Phosphore Blanc. As well as a bunch of demos and EPs and stuff from other bands.

Hey dude, long time no speak. Sorry for suddenly popping in and being so demanding, but I'm wondering whether you can recommend me some good old OSDM. My mood isn't the best recently, as you can see from the large amount of sappy prog and alt I've been listening to, due to me being unable to get past the fact that it is (or was) Valentine, yet I can't get a GF. I realized that no bullshit OSDM with the right vocals put me in a very good mood. So, can you recommend me some no bullshit OSDM with over-the-top vocals that borders on being ridiculous--think 90's Barney, Benton, or Tardy. Thanks!

Yeah I've got a few days off work so I can spend time with family and listen to some music in my free time.

Good releases from Teitanblood, Dead Congregation, Thou, Gridlink, Yob, Horrendous , and Morbus Chron I'm missing a lot of other bands cause I kinda slept through 2014. Anyway man that was some my favorites I think it was a good year IMO

Hey Crumpp. Just realized that you never listened to Inveracity. Do check them out. They're a Greek technical brutal death metal band that shares two members with Dead Congregation (!!!). Quality Suffocation worship. As a matter of fact, this Chinese forum I visit call them the Greek Suffocation.

Sup mate, thanks for posting Mammoth Grinder on reddit. Listening to them now, and they're pretty fucking great. From my home state too! Sick band so far. How much of their earlier stuff have you listened to? I'm looking for somewhere to go from Underworlds.

I like the first a bit more, but this one is still solid. El-P's production never disappoints.

I listen to music whilst driving and working mostly, so I don't really notice if an album is too long. I think I can get exhausted if I'm focusing a lot on the music and the music is demanding of a certain level of attention. Though I did notice that the Spectral Lore album was long, and when it was done, I didn't listen to music for a while, haha.

Re: Spectral Lore. I like it, but I will need a few more listens to process it. The sound/atmosphere is probably what I like the best. They're like a more refined and sophisticated Agalloch to me, which is great, but more mellow than most metal. Again, that's not a bad thing at all.

i'm a huge big black fan. if you're looking to get into more noise rock and dig bb then i'd just go through Steve Albini's catalogue- it's all pretty well balanced between accessible and quality.

But did you listen to the Cosmic Crypt EP that dropped a few months ago? And no, I haven't gotten the chance to yet. I wanted to listen to Darkspace's discog first and school has gotten in the way of keeping up with new releases. :(

Yeah I just listened to his first album, the guy doesn't have the best lyrics. However he certainly makes up for it with his flow and delivery.

Yep I defiantly know those two artists! Good kid Maad city is an amazing album. I also know of Run The Jewels(El-p and killer milke)! I've yet to listen to any asap members though for some reason, considering the fact my local radio station loves to play songs from Asap rocky.

Well man in all honesty it's just classic hiphop artists, but I did find some good artists I haven't heard before like Digable Planets and Organized Konfusion.

Yep, I wanted to listen to some hiphop albums I have but haven't listened to in a long while. I also was given a lot of Prog Rock albums from my friend and still haven't listened to all of them.

I honestly see nothing wrong with deathcore, I actually really enjoy it. I definitely see why someone wouldn't like it though. I know the new Fallujah album isn't out yet, but I think it's going to end up being my favorite. Other than that the new Goatwhore and Sebastian Bach album are my favorite so far. What about you?
