With Phil Ochs and Joni Mitchell in tandem, we have a good compatibility, but what I REALLY loved was your Shout on Tom Paxton's Last Thing On My Mind. How can you possibly, like me, ignore the common perception that he has a mediocre voice? I'm so pleased someone else can see beyond the idiot critiques of him and Leonard Cohen's vocals and feel the emotion beneath.

Did somebody say Roy Harper and Sandy Denny? Nice tunes here, sir! And good on Tess and everyone for being on the side of the Otters, coincidentally the name of my friend Mark's band

Thank-you. I normally tend to write complete rubbish...Which reminds me (for no logical reason) of a Royal Marines battlefield psychology lecture I was required to attend back in the day. The NCO giving the lecture was, shall we say, a bit 'intense' and had a disturbing habit off suddenly stopping in mid-sentence just to stare out of the window for up to half a minute at a time. Well, during one such silence, my so-called best mate (who was sitting behind me) decided to pass wind. Quite loudly. Believing me to be the culprit, the NCO turned, pointed at me and shouted "If you remember nothing else today Dipsh*t, then remember this....It's the fear of what comes after the doing that makes the doing hard to do. So NEVER forget to remember to be SCARED!" Well, I made a note of what he said in my diary that very evening, but I still don't have clue as to what he meant. As for "Dipsh*t"? A term of affection I guess, often used by our beloved NCO's to win my attention.
